Can be fun at certain times but is generally very frustrating. The majority of the monsters you will simply die to upon encountering them without an inherent way to counteract them. Makes for some fun moments with friends, but will get boring quickly as progress stagnates very early on into the game which will make your runs short and feel samey. The game is known as a friendslop game, but the gameplay works in a way that requires you to REALLY invest yourself into the game and dedicate yourself to learning how it works to an excessive degree, and if you don't do that you will perform badly and get bored quickly. I don't mind learning how games work but the way Lethal Company expects you to is grueling and unfun. It's almost as if the mechanics in the game were designed with the idea of it being an in-depth solo experience in mind that somehow became a co-op multiplayer game instead. I can almost see an enjoyable experience in the game, but the unintuitive, annoying way the monsters are designed really hold it back. In the wise words of Peter Griffin, it insists upon itself. If you want a game that has a decent level of depth that doesn't feel so arduous to learn while having a focus on co-op gameplay and fun moments with a similar premise then just play R.E.P.O instead. If you don't mind putting in the time to learn the game and dying often in ways that feel hard and sometimes impossible to avoid then Lethal Company might be worth giving a try for you.
This game will legit run on anything, on an i3 and it runs it well as long as all settings aren't maxed. It'll have a few spikes here and there even with some nice specs, but this little laptop plus my PC runs it really well.
