About
Waves of enemies attack you and your opponents. Build defenses to survive. Send mercenaries to smash through your opponents' defenses. Scale your economy to become a late game beast. Like Chess, every match is familiar enough to reward game knowledge, but divergent enough to require adaptation.
Each match, you receive a random roll of 6 fighters, from 12 million possible combinations. Every fighter has strengths & weaknesses. Some secure strategic advantages early game, while others have powerful late-game synergies. Your skill lies in your ability to make the most of the hand you're dealt.

With 9+ years worth of data-driven, monthly balance patches, Legion TD 2 is perhaps the most balanced competitive game in the world. Rather than introduce disruptive changes every year to shake things up, Legion TD 2 has opted to chase perfecting a healthy meta. If you take a break for a couple years and come back, your same openings will probably still be viable.

Party as 1-8 players. Play 2v2 and 4v4 matchmade games.

Legion TD 2 is the sequel to the 2nd most popular Warcraft 3 mod of all time, Legion TD. Also known as Squadron TD in Starcraft 2. The top 5 most played Warcraft 3 mods are DotA, Legion TD, Wintermaul, Footmen Frenzy, and Life of a Peasant. Legion TD is proud to hold the silver medal.

Legion TD 2 launched in early access in 2017, and has received major updates, quality of life, and balance changes every single month since then. After fully launching in October 2021, we believe it has grown to become the most replayable, balanced, competitive strategy experience out there. Unlike other indie multiplayer games, Legion TD 2's playerbase has stood the test of time, having been active & steady for nearly 10 years and counting.

There are no more reasons left to have Warcraft III installed
Apparently this was one of the first auto battlers as a mod for Warcraft 3, so respect for that. But I think the genre has been realized much better in other games and mods that followed, like Desert Strike, Auto Chess, Clash Royale, and my favorite: Mechabellum. The battles here are a yawn fest. Even though there is so much unused space on the map and on the screen, the units clump up 10 at a time on top of each other on the same tile, so you can barely see what the hell is happening during battles. Although it's a multiplayer game, you spend most of your time just battling creeps and rarely interact with the other players. That seems very boring to me, and the ratio between creep and player interaction should be completely reversed. There are some good character designs and 3D models, but they're completely wasted here. Unfortunately you will not see them (outside of the codex), since the camera view is so poorly designed. You only see units from the back, and to rotate the camera you have to enable the "advanced" camera setting in the options, but the controls for it are atrocious, so I rarely used it. Rotating the camera in a 3D game is advanced?? lol... Warzone, a game from like 30 years ago would like a word with you. Unit damage types is one of those complicated matrix things that are just a chore. There's a good reason why Dota2 moved away from it to a simpler model. There's a very simple economy mechanic, but it's not interesting enough to make up for all the shortcomings of the game. And for a supposedly tower defense game, it plays very little like any other TD, so don't expect for unit pathing around towers to matter.
░░ ░░ ░░ ██ ██ Fabuła / klimat / imersja ██ ██ ░░ ░░ ░░ Fabuła w tej grze to całkowicie zbędny ozdobnik. Kampania jednoosobowa nie wnosi absolutnie nic do doświadczenia, a suche, encyklopedyczne opisy jednostek czytasz raz i szybko o nich zapominasz. Podobnie jest z klimatem – trudno go w ogóle jednoznacznie zdefiniować z racji całkowitego braku narracji.
