tl;dr at the top cause I'm nice like that, this is a very trying game, I wanted originally to enjoy it as VR Skyrim but with proper RPG classes like the Paladin, Rogue, or Barbarian... but... unfortunately this wasn't what the game had in store.. It's alright in multiplayer but overall leaves a lot to be desired, at the very least, the developers here did a good job for such a small team! I just don't personally enjoy where the game is at. I wouldn't call this an RPG, that would be a bit of an overstatement. It shares basically none of the aspects used to make that acronym, there are barely any roles, or diversity between them. And calling it a game that you play is pretty hard, I wanted to enjoy it but the further you get into "the game", the further away from fun "the game" starts to feel. But I don't want to be entirely mean spirited and instead just post my thoughts around it, this is definitely not a game suited to my taste, or maybe I went in with too high expectations based on the price (bought this on sale for 32 GBP, around 44 USD.) 'Cause it feels a little more hollow than you'd want it too for the price point. I personally only have a bit of history with RPGs, from mainly only playing Runescape in my childhood, and The Elder Scrolls games like Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim... I never played WoW (World of Warcraft) but I've tried to pick up others along the way. This being the most recent one I tried to play, I went in thinking this was precisely what I wanted, responsive physics based VR combat with MMORPG mechanics, but sorted neatly into a little 4 player coop experience with smaller worlds/set pieces. I can't tell you if it's just that this game feels like it instead SUFFERS from having physics based combat, even though I wanted to enjoy the mechanics of parrying which CAN feel really satisfying... Or if the genre of RPG in VR should just not have physics but instead tie each weapon to Attack Speed stats. SPEAKING OF, the way this game balances melee combat so you don't whacky waving arm flail your enemies to death, is that it has a singular reset time for each swing that hits your target with your weapon. Which means, you hit your target with your left hand, it goes on cooldown for 1.5s, if you hit the creature again you deal significantly lower damage and reset the timer again, which means you are essentially supposed to instead, strike with your left, strike with your right, and then holster them for your heavy shoulder weapon, with both hands. Which has a reset of 0.8s, so you swing that with both hands and only have to wait half the time to deal "the full damage of the weapon" again. Safe to say I've studied as much as I can about the game but still played the game a lot, I've made 4 characters in this game to try out each build to at least their capstone abilities, so getting to at least 35 in each of the skills, I can by far say that the variety is limiting at best. (I think I've had enough to make this verdict)... The distinction of good for all these classes are massively skewed to one set of skills and such the gameplay feels more like a tier list than variety for the sake of having fun while playing. Dexterity for example has no choice of longsword, despite there being a rapier... which is called a "Broadsword"... Also it's STRENGTH BASED FOR LITERALLY NO REASON >:( So... beyond the dagger, you have nothing except what's under the 2handed category, which limits you to that one slot, meaning you are literally only allowed to carry daggers for the entire game... this... sucks quite honestly, cause this also invalidates a large amount of the loot you get... which is great if you want crafting materials I guess. ON THAT NOTE... Crafting feels great, I love it, I like the idea of physically crafting your gear, essentially intuitively confirming your ingredients. Maybe the game is a little bit bugged in multiplayer, all of the mechanics previously talked about are sometimes very finicky in multiplayer. And this is playing with someone who lives about an hours drive from me, so don't you dare tell me this is a networking issue >:( But these are issues I forgive because... WE HAVE MULTIPLAYER, GODS VR MULTIPLAYER WITHOUT PVP IS A BLESSING. And all in all the experience is still smooth enough to play for extended periods of time (I played practically 26 of the hours I have in this game in multiplayer with just 1 other player) This game rightfully has mixed reception, and I now feel it's completely validated, but the people that enjoy it have every right to enjoy themselves also. I do hope that the user experience becomes a lot more fluid, and more content can be added to this game post 1.0 launch. Personally, I think the game would be improved by new or revamped skills to allow more creative freedom rather than a straight linear path to the physical damage increases... More Legendaries even if there aren't any custom models applied to them, I'd still prefer to see unique abilities such as the Arrow Rain bow, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL AN RPG MECHANIC... The Castle Breaker sword, fantastic.. We need more of that... cause the Legendaries honestly themselves feel greatly underwhelming... you might as well just be going for getting good rng on a Yellow rarity item instead.. Carrying around just daggers for dex, blergh, your only skills being tied to critical damage, kinda blergh but I can see why I guess.. Parrying with daggers, actual nightmare since the enemies are attracted to feet and most animations swing way too fast and follow the player... Not to mention bosses... (no, this is not a skill issue THANK YOU VERY MUCH...) Let me quickly relate this to Blade and Sorcery and get it over with, recently the developers of such game realised that the enemies there would swing their longswords WAY TOO FAST, to a point it was a little unfair since the player avatar could not wield the weapon with the same velocity, as its designed to be unwieldy when wielded in only 1 hand, they slowed the animation of it down, as well as adding movement locks to most of their attack animations and it became much more cinematic, and a whole bunch more FAIR for the player... The enemies here... they'll disrespect you shawty, they'll call you and yo mama all kinds of names... (there's no voice acting, but) they'll slap you silly at supersonic speeds, like the spear goblin, they'll aim constantly for only your shins and toes, even if they're the same height as you, sure that's a grounds for the fabled low parry, but unfortunately you're guaranteed to still take some unavoidable chip damage for letting them get close to you... Now we can get onto why I can't call this an RPG, is there possibility that we can get some kind of Templar, Paladin, Cleric.. or Holy Warrior class with healing and supportive abilities for their allies? Cause I'm fine with returning to camp to heal but, the length of dungeons extends practically twicefold per player you include, and the mana is significantly limited when the kills aren't coming as frequently due to it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I cannot recommend that anyone pays full price for this game. The game gets incredibly tedious very quickly with practically all enemies taking quite some time to kill while also not offering any real challenge, boss enemies aren't much better with the only challenge they offer being the massive amount of health they have. The only redeeming factor of the game is multiplayer which is also not without issues. Put simply for the price of this game you could purchase at least two or three far more enjoyable VR games and would be much better off doing so.
7.5/10 with a friend. Probably 5/10 alone (play Skyrim instead).
save your money, this game isn't worth 15 dollars, much less 50
This game sucked in Early Access. It was incredibly unfinished and the loot system was very basic and bland. Magic was underwhelming. Enemies and their animations were low quality. Neat for the first hours, but wasn't anything to write home about. As an Immersive experience as VR, I did not feel as if I was actually delving a dungeon with monsters: I felt like I was in a tech demo. Then the game released. "Released", which is one update push and a price increase for a unfinished half-baked product. $55 for this is a spit in the mouth. And for that I can't recommend this product. It hesitate to call it a game, it was a good concept; but not a satisfactory execution. Honestly go play any other dungeon crawler or better yet a Rougelike. On that note; a more engaging combat system can be found in "Until You Fall" and "Broken Edge".
Just get Blade & Sorcery. It costs less and is so much more refined and better looking than this game ever will be. This game looks like something I would play on a PS2. I can't fathom what makes the dev(s) think this game is worth CDN$ 71.99, considering how rough it looks and how boring the combat is compared to B&S. You'd quite literally have more fun watching paint dry. The combat is best described as Whac-A-Mole: walk up to an enemy, bonk it as quickly as possible until it's dead, and move on. No thought or finesse is needed. There is no reason to pick this up over B&S, especially now that version 1.0 is out. It puts this game to shame in every possible way. It even costs a quarter of what this game is asking for, looks so much more stunning, and most importantly, has genuinely fun gameplay.
i liked the game and most mechanics but man all i'm asking for is better quality of life stuff like idk a sprint button, a bright red lock or outline on stuff that's higher levelled and no picking up holstered weapons upside down (ik i can twist my hand but still) ive refunded it until i can see at least a sprint has been added or faster movement because no one moves that slow and the enemies just gain on you so fast
Legendary Tales: A Game Worth Your Time, But Not Your Wallet Legendary Tales delivers a truly captivating experience with a combat system that's as satisfying as it is accurate. Every strike, block, and dodge feels well-timed and weighty, with mechanics that cater to both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike. Whether you're in the thick of battle or executing a well-placed counterattack, the combat in Legendary Tales shines with precision, making each encounter feel rewarding. It's not just about button mashing—timing and strategy matter, adding an extra layer of depth that keeps you coming back for more. The magic system, meanwhile, is expansive and thoughtfully designed. Spells are varied and feel impactful, with a wide array of options that let players tailor their playstyle. Legendary Tales offers enough variety to keep things fresh. The way magic interacts with the environment and combat is impressively detailed, allowing you to experiment and find new ways to overcome challenges. The only real downside to Legendary Tales is its price. While the game delivers exceptional quality in both its combat and magic mechanics, the current price point may make some hesitant. Given the value provided, a more accessible price tag would feel more appropriate for the overall experience. I got lucky to buy it during a sale and its totally worth the $30 i dont think its worth more than that. Overall the game is really good and i have really enjoyed it so far!
