Left 4 Dead — Where My Zombie Game Journey Started I played Left 4 Dead first in the series, before I had ever played Left 4 Dead 2; it is one of the games that got me into zombie co-op and as such I have a great deal of nostalgia for it. Back in my younger days I mainly played Campaign and at the time I didn't fully understand all the various modes and strategies; all I cared about was surviving the zombie attacks and getting through each campaign. I still remember the original Survivors — that is, Bill, Zoey, Louis, and Francis — and consider campaigns to be classics as well; I also appreciate the atmosphere of the original game, since in comparison with L4D2 it seems more direct and darker, which is what gives it its particular appeal. The more I played Left 4 Dead 2, the more I came to value the original game, in particular after I had understood the link between The Sacrifice and The Passing. Although Left 4 Dead 2 has more content, I shall always reserve a special spot for Left 4 Dead since that's where I first began. The first zombie co-op classic.

loved this game since the day it came out
