Layer Section™ & Galactic Attack™ S-Tribute

This game was originally released in arcades as RayForce and this game contains two different versions released for the Sega Saturn, which for the most part differ only in name. The game itself is the first in a trilogy (although story-wise it's the last one) where you pilot a ship that has a lock-on system so you can attack up to 8 targets at once for big points. Although it's a Saturn port, the presentation is arcade-perfect as the graphics and sounds/music are exactly the same. The controls are somewhat simple, just 2-button, but note you must have a controller to play (no mouse/keyboard). The game is also very challenging even on the easiest level, it's technically not a bullet hell shooter but it plays like it. At least there is local co-op play. The main reason I give this a thumbs down, despite being a perfect arcade/Saturn port, is price. At $30 it's ridiculously overpriced. Wait until it goes on sale for at least 50% off then pick it up, and even then I'd hold out for when it gets close to $10.

98年 爸爸买了第一台海尔电脑，当时在店了买了2张正版 STG 游戏 其中一张就是这货，碟子至今还保存完整，中文名叫雷神小组，当时29.9元 一分不少 不过游戏良心在送OST，当时操作系统win98，游戏安装完后可以不用光盘没有背景音乐，装载后才会有。 怀旧今天充了支持下，当个大冤种。

I'm a really big fan of shmups. And this one is my favorite this is in the genre. I know that this port of a game is not that great but it's the only one that we have. And the price is kinda high for an old game.

Bom, é um jogo que é "simples" de se fazer 100%, só demora muito a conquista de 1 milhão de pontos. É legal, divertido e bem bonito. Porém o preço mesmo em promoção (beirando 20 reais) não se justifica pra um port mediano de Rayforce. Com a versão caseira e console com outros nomes (essa bagunça de Layer Section e Galactic Attack), e sinceramente, se quiser um 100% de boa e tals, vale, no mais, opte por emular a versão Saturn ou PlayStation desse jogo. Nota: 6/10.

超名作縦スクロールシューティングゲーム☆ STGゲームは苦手で普段は遊ばないのですが、GW中でちょっと違うジャンルがプレイしたくなり購入しました。 レイフォースシリーズはファンが多いのも納得の面白さです♪ 注意点：DirectInputコントローラーは相性があり、認識しない物もありました。 XInput（変換器も含む）は、問題なく使うことが出来ます。 私は下手すぎてゲームセンターだときっと破産してしまいますが、こちらだと気軽に遊べて嬉しい！ セール中は安く買えますので、レトロゲームやシューティングゲームが好きな人にお勧めです☆彡

It's a interesting piece of shmup history, but is still a basic and short game from 1995. It should be £$14.99 AT THE MOST. £$25.00 for this is a borderline scam.

There are obvious sound problems, but overall I've enjoyed it. Achievements require just beating the game, soundtrack is nice, stage 1 BGM is my favorite (although ruined by how it is played) I guess Ray’z Arcade Chronology version is better. This one is alright to get when it's on sale.
