About
Lateral Crawl is a turn-based, grid-based traditional roguelike stretched across an infinite road. You are a Cousin travelling rightward through a procedurally assembled world of changing biomes and roadside events. Your objective is to keep going and complete your search for the last nightclub.
Your job is simple: keep travelling right.
Scavenge houses, shops, ruins and stranger places for weapons, food, clothing and anything else that might keep you alive.
Combat is turn-based, grid-based and positional. Hit things with whatever is in your hands, shoot them, throw things at them, set traps, deploy turrets, push them into hazards or find some other stupid solution that happens to work.
Weapons wear out. Food may not agree with you. Hunger and thirst creep in. Disease, injury and other conditions can turn a perfectly respectable journey into a disaster. The body is another system you have to manage.
There are no levels and no stat progression. Instead, you can gain odd skills and temporary advantages along the road. Pay attention, discover interactions and become dangerous in ways you probably didn't plan.
