Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.13/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The gameplay is just dull and repetitive. Train upgrades are also very similar across each cart type. Story is interesting but also very shallow. I'm disapointed, because the game has very much potential. Don't get fooled by all those awards as I did. It's worth maybe 20-30 USD at most
Vielen Dank Ashborne Games!
Its okay to good but nothing spectacular. On normal difficulty, you can easily exploit the economy system, and your only problem will be having insufficient storage space, seriously. I finished the game with 120k, enough Tier 3 weapons to equip a squad of ten men, 150 apple pies, 50 stimulants and over 3,000 rifle and machine gun rounds. Combat can be far more easily abused. Have 4 scouts, 1-2 machine guns, 1 grenadier and 1 medic in every squad. You only need the medic for some objectives, the machine guns to hold a position, and the grenadier to encounter tanks. Besides that, the scouts do 95% of everything. Enemies have a line of sight and investigation system that, once learned, can be abused to no end. On top of that, scouts have the following skills: unlimited free map reveal, the ability to attract guards, invisibility, instant kill and silent running. The story is nice, and killing communists is even better.
We need more games in which you can shoot communists.
Ok, so i've played it through, never mind the hours, most of them in standby AFK. The game is fine, some nice mechanics, ok graphics, not many bugs, and of course- the story, ive picked it up because its not yet another generic story, so its good. But guys, you should've made the game twice shorter or you need extra game mechanics, cause after 50% of the game its just more of the same repetetive stuff, so i just honestly was playing automatically. Besides that its a good choice for 15$
This is a banger of a game that mixes management/survival and real time tactics. I was doubtful whether the genres would blend well together, but the game hooked me completely once I started playing. It has great storytelling and music, and the gameplay is quite multi-layered - exactly what you’d expect from a tactical management game. Prepare to sink a lot of hours into this one.

[strike] Awful [/strike] > [strike] Bad [/strike] > [strike] OK [/strike] > [strike] Good [/strike] > Great > [strike] Awesome [/strike]

Last Train Home combined two types of game I really like - survival resource management strategy and real-time tactical action strategy. How did it go? Well, I can honestly say - pretty good. Is it perfect? No, and neither half of the game is without flaws. The train management is bit shallow, there is not enough interesting events and it becomes kinda boring by the end when you have everything you need and more than you need. Even though it should be tough challenge to manage everything, it actually wasn't hard at all. It was funny to learn from cutscenes about soldiers going hungry, being cold and sick, while I am sitting on 2000 units of food and never had to touch rations. The cold really only became minor nuisance in the last stretches of the game, and by that time I was rushing full steam ahead anyway and so it passed quickly. The tactical side I enjoyed more. However, at least up until my soldiers leveled up their roles and became unstoppable, invisible killing machines. That broke the game a bit. The skills were too overpowered. They should have been significantly more and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY more grounded. And yet, despite all that I wrote above, I really had great time with the game. It's not perfectly balanced experience, but it's a very enjoyable one. The journey was worth it.

The best way I can describe the game mechanics is - its a splice between a heavily simplified Frostpunk and a heavily simplified Commandos but more action oriented, even though you can completely stealth through the missions. It takes the the very basics of both and combines them into something uniquely fun. Even though the game runs a bit long for my liking, it kept me engaged and I think that's mostly thanks to well balanced pacing. Just as you might start to become bored in resource management, it switches to tactical and vice versa. Visuals and sounds were both fine. Nothing I would singe praise about, but they worked well for the game. Voice acting was nice addition, but in cutscenes and scripted events it was often quite bad. Its important to note that I understand Czech and Slovak and since this is Czech game about Czechoslovak Legion, I went with that voiceover, and so I can't speak for the quality of the English voiceover, which may be better. Now I'll acknowledge, that the review is a bit inconsistently with the rating. I outlined fair amount of flaws, but there is the thing - none of those flaws actually made the game less fun for me. Its just good that it ended when it did, because if it would continue for longer, it would require significant improvements in some areas I describe above. It's simply a great, well paced game and I have no problem recommending it.
