Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Chop down trees, plant and grow crops, hunt wildlife, mine for ore, and fish from the surrounding seas and fjords. Manage your resources carefully to ensure you can outlast the harsh winters, and expand your settlement from season to season.
Each of your villagers is a unique character in their own right. With 20+ characteristics, your villagers might be powerfully built strong men and women or silver-tongued thespians. Pay attention to skills and abilities when assigning tasks to your people. Not all Vikings are alike, nor are they equally good at all jobs!
As your settlement grows, more Vikings will seek to join. You can choose to welcome them or turn them away. Over time, your Vikings will begin new families and give birth to new generations, extending their lineage and strengthening your settlement.
The land will bring many challenges to your settlement, from earthquakes to fire-starting lightning from Asgard. Unite your Vikings to withstand these disasters as best you can.
The seasons bring their own challenges, as do events and disasters. Be ready for storms, blizzards, or the long, deadly cold of the winter season. Prepare firewood and food stores to keep your Vikings warm and well-fed!
Your neighbors are an excellent resource for goods and gold. Once you build a Trade Dock, ships will visit you with various cargos. You can also send out your own trade missions, as long as you have enough villagers to crew the vessel - and enough beer to fuel the crew!
Any good Jarl will tell you that brute force is the best path to glory. Gather your Vikings and raid foreign villages to plunder their gold and silver, and gain Fame points. Train and strengthen your Vikings, and command them through the all-new battle system to ensure your victory, while defending your settlement from other villages!
As your settlement flourishes, Viking heroes will want to pledge their valor to your cause. These heroes will lead your troops into battle, inspiring confidence and providing other bonuses along the way.
No grids allowed! You can build wherever you want, designing your settlement as you see fit, and to increase your Vikings’ happiness. Construct monuments to Odin or Freya and customize the look of your Viking ships. You can even modify the look of houses with the Building Editor. This powerful in-game editor will allow you to build and personalize an unlimited number of buildings and decorations!
Unlock new buildings and bonuses by spending Fame points in the Tree of Life. Discover beer brewing and build a Tavern for your villagers to relax in. Invest in goat farming to gather wool and weave fabric for better clothes. As you create better quality living and resources, your Vikings will become healthier and happier, and your settlement will flourish!

I like the format but dislike the lack of help in the beginning. I've had to go on YouTube and forward through lengthy videos. I'm still a beginner and almost stopped playing due to this.
A nicely made lilttle civilisation management simulation in a viking-setting. Works decently on Windows 11 25H2. Due to the well-made tutorial not many questions are left and the speed of regrowth of the natural resources is sufficient. Step by step the player is guided to become a great Jarl and managing his growing community of Vikings. The achievements are doable without any guide - they are self-explanatory enough to just play and get them. Some things are more annoying than others - e.g. the placement of the farms for wheat and barley is quite tricky if one wants a decent sized one. The other challenge is for the player to constantly monitor the employment bar to refill dead workers, as to not run otu fo certain resources. But yes, a definite recommendation.
The game feels unfinished and full of bugs What is really annoying is that the developers seem to have abandoned the game and moved on to a new one. It's in early access, which means that I won't even consider buying it. There is no way that I will pay nearly the price of the released game to participate in their beta testing (or anybody else's for that matter).
Land of the Vikings honestly became one of those city builders where I constantly told myself I was “just improving the village layout a little,” and then suddenly spent two hours redesigning roads because my bakery apparently deserved better surroundings. What I really enjoy about the game is how alive and personal the settlement feels. Your villagers have skills, needs, moods, relationships, and jobs that actually matter, so the village slowly starts feeling like a real community instead of just a collection of buildings generating resources. The atmosphere is also fantastic. The seasonal changes, weather, music, and overall Viking setting create this really cozy survival feeling where the village looks peaceful most of the time… right until winter arrives and everyone starts depending on your planning skills to not freeze or starve. I also really like how progression works. You slowly expand from a tiny struggling settlement into a proper Viking town with farms, docks, workshops, trade routes, and advanced production chains. Every new building and unlock feels useful, and watching the village evolve over time is incredibly satisfying. One of my favorite mechanics though is actually how the storage upgrades work through decorations and village planning. Instead of simply upgrading storage through menus, you improve certain buildings by placing decorations and creating nicer surroundings around them. That means village design isn’t just cosmetic — layout and aesthetics actually matter mechanically too. I genuinely love this system because it encourages you to think ahead when planning your settlement. You don’t just throw buildings wherever they fit. You start leaving room around important structures for decorations, paths, greenery, and upgrades later on. It makes the village feel much more natural and organized compared to many city builders where efficiency usually turns settlements into industrial spaghetti disasters. And honestly, it creates this funny cycle where you start out focused on survival, but eventually become obsessed with making your village both efficient and beautiful at the same time. The management side is also really satisfying overall. Balancing resources, worker assignments, food production, storage, and winter preparation constantly kept me engaged without feeling overwhelmingly complicated. I also appreciated that the game stays fairly relaxing most of the time while still punishing bad planning decisions. A poorly prepared winter can absolutely humble you very quickly. That said, the game still has some rough edges and balancing issues here and there, especially with larger settlements. But the core gameplay loop is genuinely addictive enough that I kept wanting to improve and expand my village anyway. For me, Land of the Vikings is a really charming and immersive Viking settlement builder that mixes cozy village planning with meaningful survival mechanics — while somehow turning decorative planning and storage optimization into something I became weirdly emotionally invested in.
Nice game to make your own viking settlement. Don't expect too much thought.
Excellent graphics and playability
6/10 Cumple.
