Very nice, short intro/prologue. Nice visuals, strong ambience, solid character models, and a bit of humor. The game has a certain charm, and the overall vibe (as many people have already pointed out) is very X-Files/Twin Peaks. I’m honestly surprised more horror games don’t lean into that. Overall, it feels like an authentic PS1 game, but in a good way - similar in quality to Alisa (another horror game that’s more strange than scary). The puzzles are a bit on the shallow side, though, even for an intro. For the most part, it boils down to “get key → use key → get another key → use that key.” There’s definitely room for improvement. (Also: nice Silent Hill easter egg. I only found that stupid needle by pure accident and it wasn't where I found it on my second run.)
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. There was one puzzle where you look at a painting that I had to google because the fixed camera angle didn't really show the painting was there.

Absolutely beautiful game, I love the retro graphics and the storytelling very well done!
I'll play the full release if it ever comes out, but as-is, this isn't the worst way to spend a couple of hours.
11/10 teaser of what's to come for Lake Haven! Phenomenal job Encrypt Games!! Master class of an eerie atmospheric game that has it's own identity while honoring the classics like SILENT HILL. ^^
In spite of the tank controls, it's a good game. It really feels like a PS1 game. It took me about an hour to beat. There is no save point until mid-late game, so I had to restart after 40 minutes.
Recomiendo totalmente Lake Haven: Chrysalis.
Absolutely loved this. Yeah it’s a small prologue but the way it combines Silent Hill with The X-Files and Twin Peaks is masterful at the very least. Also, love the two easter eggs…
Very good. The vibes were on point. Sometimes the camera wasn't being helpful at all though. Hopefully the full game will get finished some day, because I'll certainly be buying it.
