Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've played this since the very early stages of early acces and, at this point, this game has become one of my favorite comfort games. It's just something about it that makes me feel good, and I can easily get lost in it for hours on end.

If you want a farming sim this ain't it. Everything about the farming is tedious. First off to till the land you don't use a hoe, you instead go into building mode, select a section of your farm that you have purchased, open the placeable items menu, switch the tab to the functional items section, select the farm tiles, then place then at a cost of 25 coins a pop. After that the next step is planting , to do so walk over the farm tiles you placed and select them, this opens a menu where you select the seed you want to plant. Finally to water the plants you take out your watering can and pour water on the tiles till their water meter fills, that's not where the problem is. The problem is that even when the meter seems full the plants are sometimes not completely watered. If you go back over you plants with the watering can almost half of them still need a little more water despite the watering meter being full. Finally after you harvest your crops, the only reasonable part of the system as all you need to use is swing your scythe, is selling them. While you can build a shipping bin (you don't start with one) the primary way of selling your crops is to purchase a shop, hire employees, put your crops into a pantry in your shop for your employees to put on shelves (or you can do that your self and go through more tedious menus), then open the spread sheet of a shop management book, flip to the crop section, find your crop type (ie. carrots, cabbage, etc.) so at least you don't have to set the price for each carrot, then use the arrows to modify the price, then wait and see if your customers like it. Overall if you want a simple farming sim this ain't it, but if you want a semi complex shop managing game where you produce all your own goods then you MIGHT enjoy this.
I played Animal Crossing New Horizons a few years back, and while it did have an undeniable charm to it and lots of things to do, its luster wore off after not too long. I initially thought this kind of game was just not for me, until some time later i came across a Youtube video talking about all of New Horizon's shortcomings if compared to its prequels, which led me to a short rabbit hole made up of wikis and forum posts, all detailing what got lost when the series transitioned to the Switch. "I guess i just played the wrong one" i said to myself. Later on i got curious about the Harvest Moon series, and dedicated a few hours to Hero of Leaf Valley... I didn't like it. I did get warned, to be fair, on the totally legal website from which i purchased my digital copy, that this wouldn't have been the best introduction to the series. I'm a natural born contrarian, so i was drawn in by the lukewarm reception Hero of Leaf Valley received, hoping i was gonna stumble across a hidden gem. "I guess the critics were right" i said to myself. Goodness gracious, dearie me! Why couldn't i just find a game about chilling in a small town full of eccentric people that was capable of scratching this itch of mine? Stardew Valley would have been a safe choice, for sure. It's a critically acclaimed indie success story that according to many even surpassed its source of inspiration, Harvest Moon itself. Why not try that one? Well, the short of it is that i'm a hipster. But another big reason is that Kynseed, the game i ended up playing in its stead, was developed by some of the people who worked on the Fable series, and Fable 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. Moonring was also made by a Fable alumni, and that one was amazing, so surely i was in for a great time, right? Well, if there is one legitimate gameplay complaint that i can express, is that a lot of the game's content is dripfed though a story mode that goes on for quite a while if you're not entirely dedicated on completing it from the get-go. Kynseed belongs to a genre meant to be played for many many hours, and i understand that this choice was made to maintain a sense of discovery and intrigue for as long as possible before the sense of routine truly settled in, but i wasn't terribly interested in playing it. I just wanted to have the majority of the areas and the mechanics available from the start, or that at least it would take much less to unlock them. And this is very lame of me. I don't want to make the point that the time Kynseed demands from me is made of senseless padding, because even with just a portion of the game unlocked there is a lot of variety in what you can entertain yourself with, nor i want to make it look like "i don't have time/energy for long games anymore, i'm a mature adult (with a business degree)" because just like it's the case for most of the people who say this kinda nonsense, that's really not true. What i really mean is that... this kind of game isn't for me. I respect what Kynseed is setting up to accomplish with its very unique atmosphere and lore, and i'm sure many of the people who picked it up are having a great time either uncovering all its secrets or just immersing themselves in the cozy world it has to offer, but i couldn't. And again, i'm mad lame for that. Anyway, how's that Fable reboot going?
I have attempted 3 playthroughs of this game. I have pretty gnarly adhd so I chalked the lack of enjoyment from this game up to that. By the third and farthest attempt I realized that is not the case. The game is of course connected to our beloved fable in design and whimsy, and has great systems, but it does not take long for every activity to feel like a chore. Coming from an ardent fan of Stardew, I cant quite articulate the issue with this title. I look forward to no task, and I do not care about any of the characters. I tried to push through the story but was unsuccessful as I just could not enjoy the title any longer. It just doesnt ever seem to "click" for me.
This is my pick for a sleeper hit. It's enough like Stardew Valley to appeal to those fans, but it's got a little "Medieval Dynasty/Soulash/Fable" stirred in for a flavorful new twist. There are a lot of puns and jokes in the names and descriptions, which harkens back to The Sims (for those that bothered to read the item descriptions). And, of course, the pets. You can pet just about every animal except the ones that can be ridden. My only "complaint" was that combat was a little rough for a cozy game (note: I like combat, even like the Souls and Souls-like games, but in this type of game even a little combat goes a long way) and you will have to try to get those bonuses up as fast as you can because you need the drops to continue to build - unless you get lucky and can buy them and the dog digs them up for you. Overall, I've been having a lot of fun with this little gem.
36 hours in and the marriage quest bugged out. Ugh, Rage quit.
