About
Gallia is a land where thoughts become power.
For a hundred years, that land has been at war. Dragons — the manifestation of hatred itself — rise from the earth and fall to the blades of those brave enough to stand against them. Empires have held the line. Generations have given their lives. But the hatred that fuels the dragons has only grown.
A new order has risen to answer it. Knight Commander Fiona has taken a Gesh — a binding oath that turns hope into power — and she is calling for knights to take it with her.
You are one of those knights now.
Knights of Fiona is a full-scale VR JRPG from CharacterBank, the team behind Ruinsmagus. Built from the ground up for VR, it follows Fiona's sworn order as they fight for a future nobody else believes is possible. Play solo with companions at your side, or take the adventure online with up to two friends as the three of you share one oath.
Every quest is a party quest. Every blade is held by a real hand. Every victory is a victory shared.
Sworn together. Coming 2026.
⚔️ A World Where Thoughts Become Power Gallia's warriors fight with the strength of their convictions. In Knights of Fiona, the weight of your oath is the weight of your blade. Every strike carries not just force but belief — and in a VR JRPG built around physical combat, both matter.
🤝 Sworn Together A Knight Commander's Gesh is shared by every knight who answers it. Play solo with trusted companions at your side, or take the full adventure online with up to two friends. Every quest is a three-knight quest. Every bond is a source of strength.
🏰 A Deep, Hand-Crafted World Explore the city of Geogallia — from its train station to its seaside ports — between missions. Meet a cast of unique NPCs in the hub town, take quests from the board, and experience a full JRPG story built for the scale and presence only VR can deliver.
I'd really love to rate the game but if you so much as slightly hover your finger over the A button on the Index controller this game will skip the entire content of the intro and whatever mission and story you were in, Why? I don't know. You can't even make a new character to start over. The minimum grip-strength required to hold your weapon is also ridiculous on the index controllers. There's no way to toggle-grab anything so you will constantly lose your weapon. The game's dialogue moves with your head and always stays at the very bottom of the headset making it impossible to look at it and read it. All in all it feels like nobody tested this game at all before release.

Visually its great... But thats about it honestly. Combat is janky, UI is janky, stuff kinda happens and I feel beyond confused, the tutorials are awful, settings are non existent, and my view point has been tossed around too much. I'm gonna be honest a lot of this feels rushed for a VR game.
The game's description says that it's a JRPG, but in VR. It kind of is, but there are a bunch of elements added that seem to betray that fact - there's a lobby where other players can join, there's voice chat, you can play multi-player with others, and you can buy a bunch of cosmetics. I suppose the idea here is that they want to provide a core story experience, but if that's the case, then why are there so many elements that remind me of a F2P game? There were a number of things technically that prevented me also from wanting to play longer to see if things improve - a lot of them were polish items, but some of them were fundamental. The two fundamental problems: 1. The game provides subtitles (which are kind of important, because not everything is voiced - tutorial content isn't voiced for example, and sometimes, the English voice lines are cut off too early), but the subtitles are too low in my field of vision for me to comfortably read, and when I moved my head, the subtitles would move also, so there ended up being no way for me to read them comfortably. 2. The first quest that I accepted, which was effectively a tutorial, requires me to drink a potion. I tried it twice, and both times something happened where I would get the checkmark for action completed but the dialog wouldn't advance. Maybe this is a one time bug, but combined with the difficulty of reading the subtltles (since the tutorial isn't voiced) made me not want to try again. From the short burst of play I did experience, I noticed a few things that gave me a not-super-polished impression of the game. - Motion controls felt very light and floaty and somewhat difficult. This isn't necessarily unusual to VR games, but when so many other games have managed to do a good job with motion controls (Boneworks; One Must Fall; Half Life: Alyx; any many more), it's very unsatisfying to go to a game that does not have strong controls. In particular, there was a bow-and-arrow weapon that felt very difficult to operate in the introduction. - Enemy reaction to weapon strikes was not very clear - again there's a lack of "weight" and I think that's amplified by enemy response to weapon strikes. - English voice lines were getting cut off before they were completed. (For what it's worth, the English voice acting seemed all right. It's not like, going to win any awards, but all the voices I heard were pleasant and dialog was well-delivered. Unfortunately, the audio mixing was hit and miss - sometimes I couldn't hear characters when they were close to me (which makes the subtitle issue all the more problematic) - In town, every NPC had an "A" next to them in a speech bubble. So I was like, "What is going on here?" I think it's supposed to be placeholder text, but it's rather confusing and immersion-breaking. - Some of the way that the game did scene cuts was a little jarring. Maybe this is just the challenge of adapting a typically 2D-projected game style to the 3D VR world, but things like establishing shots that zoom into your character and floating cameras felt rather jarring. As for what was all right? - The game isn't super pretty, but the art does the job and everything has a nice charm to it. The characters that I saw seemed appealing enough, the first town had an okay amount of detail. The titular character looks appealing and I think has promise, but honestly I didn't get far enough in. - The performance itself seemed fine for the most part once loaded in. I think this is a game that feels like it needs a bit more polish - or, it needs a little more focus. Like if it dedicated itself to actually being a JRPG - a good single-player focused adventure with a strong emphasis on story, characters, and RPG-building, it could be fun, but I'm also a little suspicious that "Chapters 1-5 are available and Chapter 6 is coming". It gives me live-service vibes, where the story is being written as you go and you have to check back in with the game. In any case, there's just enough of these small issues that I am going to wait and check back in with the game later on.
Another game with no grip option. I cannot hold my weapon for more than a few seconds on index.
I wanted to like this, I really did, but I think it needed more time under the hood right now before I would come back to try it again. For something describing itself as a JRPG, it felt more like a mobile RPG in essence. You get the story, that is locked behind character level so you have to grind missions that mean nothing to get gear so you can maybe try for 3 stars on missions to get more gold and or cosmetic lock outs before going back to finally do story. There is a fair bit of lag in the menu that makes it jittery when too many players are trying the game (This could just be being on the global server, but i digress), when that settles down its fine but its very disorienting until it settles down so it makes it hard to look through inventory when screen wants to focus on your face so you can't see the rest of menu and have to use peripheral visions to touch things. The story itself isn't that strong so far (Spent about 2-3 hours to get halfway through chapter 1 to see dragon cause of level requirements and lag), you are a knight of Fiona, a 17 year old girl, who has a knight of the oath who raised her, Fiona is now another knight of the oath and you are following her for some unknown reason other than to just follow her. The game itself is mostly held in small battle arena's when I was hoping for an adventure where you could explore the world rather than explore little areas to go enchant your gear, buy skins, go on quests but nothing that adds to the story, just silly little quirky things. Healing skills can't heal you yourself, only teammates so you rely on potions. (Saw 3, healing bullet, small portion heal, a bubble pop heal, large full heal if standing still, and a healing tree aura heal that does decently but not as good as the second) And have to be specifically aimed over head near health bar or they won't heal. Turret is a neat skill, but it is stationary and can't be rotated once placed so it feels very lackluster Tornado is as tornado does in any game, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy I tried a couple of the other skills and they feel fun like the bullet knockback and several other nukes, but there are also situationally useless skills like being able to place a block of ice you can stand on, but since you can't run, only walk, or dash potentially through it I am not sure I see much point behind it. The character creator feels kind of pointless, because while others can see what you have, the only thing you'll ever see is your hands unless you hold up a mirror to "Calibrate" which makes me wonder why we make the character at all except for cut scenes, battle start and for other players to see us. I had hoped to see the story in chapter 1 catch me and pull me into paying for the story pass to try the remaining 4 released chapters so far, but me and my friends were unfortunately done before we got to fight the dragon so maybe we missed the game drawing us in. I hope you all have a wonderful day and a better experience than I did and I hope to see all of this improve in the near future
i really don't wanna give a bad review but damn the combat sure is disappointing The UI is awful Fiona was repeating dialogue and it was annoying. Loading all the time. Also remove that darn camera from the belt Barely any settings in the options. This game is the bare minimum other than graphics. It was lagging a bit in the intro but not much. Slow loading btw Just so much QoL needed and honestly needs another year of updates at least. I feel no reason to play
