Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Aug 13 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Kingdom Rush Vengeance doesn't hit the mark First of all the game plays like it is in slow motion, every enemy seems like they are moving through a lake of molasses. Even on the highest difficulty I was only partially paying attention, gone are the intense moments and decisions of Kingdom Rush 1-3. Difficulty - It's not as difficult as the previous 3 games, some of the levels (particularly in the beginning) are just downright boring. Towers - Many to pick from in theory, but these are really uninteresting towers compared to Kingdom Rush 1 and 2, not to mention in actuality while the pool of towers to pick from is much larger, your actual outload of towers brought into any given map is actually less than all the previous titles, you can now have 5 towers total, but you used to be able to have 8. Sound Effects - The sword clashing seems muted for some reason, really takes away from the medieval war ambiance, even the javelin throwers make no noise whatsoever - sound effect design gives things the feeling of impact, while there is some here, other sound effects are muted or missing altogether - feels off. Meta Progression - The old progression trees while also not perfect were much better than what is here. Music - Kingdom Rush never had an amazing soundtrack and this is no different, but again, the old games had better music. Hero Selection - Much like with the towers the pool of heroes to choose from is a step down from the previous games. Not only this but actually selecting them on the battlefield is harder, leading to mistakes and hero deaths, this was not the case in the previous games. The Good - Just about the only actual improvement over the previous games is that you can now see enemy pathing ahead of time if you have multiple exits. If you want to play far better Kingdom Rush games I will list them in order of how good they are below - Kingdom Rush Frontiers Kingdom Rush (Some will say this is better than Frontiers, and that is fine too, they're both great) Kingdom Rush Origins Kingdom Rush Vengeance Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers are also the cheapest by far, they really beat Vengeance in just about every way. I've heard that the Kingdom Rush that released after this one (Kingdom Rush Alliance) is much more in-line with Vengeance than anything else so I feel no need to check that one out, hopefully Kingdom Rush can return to it's roots in the future.

I bought this game on steam to avoid the constant microtransaction but now it felt like every update requires you to buy the update for 1/2 the price of the original content for a fraction of the game. Kingdom is still really good but its not worth paying every update.
100% Achievement Review: Based on my experience completing all the (available) achievements.
Title: Kingdom Rush Vengeance
(DLC REQUIRED FOR 100%) Summary: Fantasy tower defense game Personal notes: Kingdom Rush Vengeance is the fourth entry in the Kingdom Rush series. Once again you are tasked with defending against waves of enemies across various locations through strategically placing and upgrading towers. The core gameplay remains the same but this time, Vengeance introduces two fairly distinct changes that make this game break the standard formula. Firstly you are no longer restricted to the four basic towers, being barracks, archers, magic, and artillery. Now you can choose from 16-21 towers all with different abilities and designs. Which brings me to the next big change. Who do these towers belong to do you ask? None other than the series main villain Vez'nan! You must now play as the evil you swore to defeat as you push through familiar kingdoms from the other side of the war. It's a pretty fun twist and I througholy enjoyed playing as the bad guy for once, I personally loved the darker/enemy themed towers. Otherwise the gameplay sticks very close to what was already established which I support, if it ain't broke dont fix it IMO. The level design remains strong but I do feel like the choice of revisiting old stages was a double-edged sword. It hit that nostalgic factor but I knew what to expect excluding the DLC. In addition, the freedom of tower selection made some of these levels way too easy if you used the right tower. The story is decent but pretty minimal, mostly acting as a setup for the idea of playing as Mr. Evil Bad Guy Vez. Like the rest of the series, narrative isn’t a major focus, and Vengeance doesn’t really try to change that approach. The audio also remains very solid, with the sound effects being punchy and clear. The music was also quite good but I do tend to prefer my own after a certain amount of replays. Visually this game still looks fantastic. Vengeance maintains the colourful, cartoon-like style the KR series is known for all the while shifting to a darker tone to match the story which I really enjoyed. I still had a blast with this game and while I do greatly appreciate the team for trying something different. I felt like it doesn't do enough different to really stand out much from the earlier games. The addition of tower selection is good for player choice but also makes levels a lot more difficult to balance. Plus the enemy perspective is lots of fun but is ultimately just a fresh coat of paint over the exact same gameplay. It's still a very solid game but honestly I felt like it was a bit less fresh compared to the two earlier entries in the series. Achievement-wise this game is pretty on par with the other games in the series, just a little longer. Most of them come from the story and completing specific and funny in-game challenges. It’s more about time than difficulty and nothing feels especially punishing. However, fully completing the game does require DLC content which is important to note! All things considered, I felt like Kingdom Rush Vengeance is a solid but slightly stale entry in this great series. The villain twist is fun and the gameplay still is too, but I feel like I'm starting to get a little tired of the formula and I just wish this game did a bit more considering it was already going for changes. Anyways I still think this game is great all around and would easily recommend it to any Kingdom Rush fan or Tower Defense fan, I would recommend starting with the first however! Time it took to complete: 38hrs Most difficult achievement(s): - Unlimited Power! (Kill 5,000 enemies with Vez'nan's powers.) - Peerless Defender (Complete the Campaign in Impossible difficulty.) - They're coming! (Make your crows deal 30000 total damage.) Difficulty rating: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6/10 Overall rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ 7/10
first time playing Tower Defense, tried demo for 2.5 hours it has a nice intro, easy UI, keyboard/controller/Steam deck friendly got good balance and progression system, faultless so I happily bought the base game and the Kingdom's Starter Pack bundle thank you Ironhide for making high quality tower defense games <3
