Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Grab your bike, pedal off and beat back the Greed to save your town. Kingdom Eighties is a story-based tower defense spin-off to the award-winning Kingdom series set in the ‘80s. This is a singleplayer and local co-op (or online co-op via Steam Remote Play Together) adventure with base building and strategy elements, rad aesthetics and a soundtrack inspired by the sweet synth tunes of the ‘80s.
Something disturbing has broken free from the shadows and it's up to you as The Leader to drive the evil back by recruiting your friends and other kids from the neighborhood. Together you will build your defenses and protect the town from the relentless attacks by the mysterious Greed monsters that are trying to steal your family heirloom, the Crown of Creation. For what nefarious purposes, who knows?
Gather your three unique companions, each with special skills, and recruit other kids to build defenses, collect coins and… run a lemonade stand and a pizza shop (among many other things)! Manage the people you recruit, unlock tools and more importantly gear your crew up for the horrors that come at night.
A force, dormant for centuries, has somehow broken free in the ‘80s; Kingdom Eighties is a comic-sized story about the small town Monarch that has come under threat by an unknown evil. It has fallen upon you, as The Leader, to defend it and save the day. Rally the Summer Camp when an evil force of goopy Greed monsters attack and try to break your defenses. Where did they come from and where the heck are all the adults? Uncover clues and discover what happened to everybody else as you repel and fight the Greed back.
Kingdom's iconic, handcrafted art style is back, now with a neon touch coming directly from the ‘80s aesthetics. Chill and vibe with the synthy OST from Andreas Hald, and travel back to the wonder days of bike riding and summer camps, when everything seemed possible.
In the true arcade style, Kingdom Eighties features a new game mode: Survival Mixtapes! Bring your best tactics and strategies to fend off progressively harder waves of Greed in four different episodes including “Back to the Suburbs” and “Greed, First Goo”. Make on-the-fly decisions as certain buildings’ special abilities are disabled and levels feature random mounts. This game mode is sure to put your skills to the test!
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I am a HUGE fan of two crowns but this one did not do it for me... I could not get into the 80's nostalgia trip and honestly the game feels inferior. I especially hate some sprites that make game elements difficult to see against the background

It's not terrible, but i just dont get a feeling this is replayable like two crowns.
Basic and boring as hell compared to the older games
It is a basic and rather dull game series. It is weird that they choose to not derive the gameplay even a little bit. It plays like a reskin. And the sad thing is, It is not even the reskin of a good game. Certainly not recommended
This was the longest 5 hours I've ever spent on a game. Somehow they managed to make a game more shallow than the original with fewer features and less strategy. There's almost nothing to even talk about. You just spend coins that are easy and quick to get, then spend them on the units that make winning a complete joke. That's it, that's the entire game. Maybe harder difficulties makes spending coins on different things slightly more interesting, but "normal" should really be called "very easy". Oh, and the bugs. This game has 1 thing you can actually do and they managed to screw it up by having some prompts incorrectly display a red line over them even when you're able to spend coins, so you could just not know you're allowed to progress unless you know better. Also the credits were at max volume so my reward after beating the game was getting my eardrums blasted and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ forced bad ending. Just don't bother.
Spin-off of Kingdom that doesn't try to distance itself much from the original series, with its pros and cons. Good: - Beautiful '80s aesthetics: the pixel art is gorgeous, and the soundtracks are amazing. They nailed the atmosphere very well. - New features and differences from the main series: kids (the "peasants" of this game) don't slack off, instead they help you passively farm gold by working jobs like mowing lawns or gathering berries; the main character is helped by his group of friends to assist him against the Greed; great variety of mounts, my personal favorites are the yellow bike, the hoverboard and the unicorn. - References to '80s media, such as E.T., Back to the Future, the old My Little Pony. Even the main characters reminded me of the 4 kids riding the bike from the movie Stand by Me. Bad: - Mediocre story: all characters have forced racial diversity (Sweet Baby Inc., an agency infamous for forcing their agenda in videogame stories, has been involved). It was better if there were only a few hints about the story, like in the main series. - I didn't like the cutscenes: the artstyle looks cheap, looks like it was made on a low budget, particularly for the lack of animation and voice acting. At least the anime-style intro wasn't bad. - I had a hard time figuring out what to do in the first level: the tutorial wasn't clear enough, and I was stuck for a good hour, until I discovered there was a visual glitch that kept me from resuming the game (this glitch appears every time you start a new run). Kingdom Eighties was a breath of fresh air. A bit easier than the main Kingdom entries, but nonetheless as fun. Whether you're a fan or new to the series, don't miss this game. The '80s vibes are strong and charming. Altogether with the soundtrack, they can make you feel nostalgic. Easier and sillier entry in the Kingdoms "franchise". Not much different in gameplay from different entries, other than different buildings and characters and more "modern" (80s instead of medieval) setting. The story is bland and doesnt really matter, but the easter eggs are cool. All in all, if you like the Kingdom franchise, you will like this one.
不如俩位君主。第一次玩王国系列的去玩俩位君主去
It amazes me how different it is from Kingdom Two Crowns. I like the cutscenes and the story, the views are stunning and the gameplay is like always but this time it feels like it has a purpose so it's even better
