I give up. Combat system is stupid, non intuitive and just badly designed. Fighting MORE THAN ONE enemy at once is impossible because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ autolock which does it's best to lock on the wrong enemy. When you're fighting only one enemy it is alright, but when you're fighting knights in armor etc, the fighting will just be : you waiting for your opponent to strike so you use the master counter (or whatever it is called) so you can ACTUALLY HIT once and do some damage, otherwise, they just parry everything, no matter where you aim. The save system is stupid, having to craft an item to be able to save is one of the worst decision ever made, this is a solo game i want to enjoy, so let me save when i want, thanks. It tells you that it saves automatically when you're doing quests....... yeah right, i lost like 4 or 5 hours because i got killed and thought that my game got saved at some point, BUT NO, let's replay the same ♥♥♥♥ again for 4+ hours to get back where is was because of one little mistake. NO THANKS i can't anymore. Main story is okay, very predictable, other quests are a waste of time. This npc needs 100x food but he has no time to hunt so would you be kind enough to do so? yeah because you don't have anything to do you know, like a main quest for example? oh and you see plenty of bored NPCs around him that just do nothing except of sitting on the bench and waiting, you want that food? ask them, not me. I know these quests are not mandatory but it is the same ♥♥♥♥ for everyone of them except maybe a handful.. Looks like you're the only person in this world able to help them, like hunting seems to be too hard for everybody suddenly. Let's talk about fast travel, time skip, sleeping time, etc, I hope you like staring at your screen for entire minutes just looking at the map, watching your little figurine slowly advancing from point A to point B on the map, THIS IS CALLED FAST TRAVEL FFS WHY DOES IT TAKE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MINUTES TO TRAVEL ? same when you go to sleep or skip time, you just stare at your screen, waiting like 2 minutes and... that's it.. big big gameplay over here. let's not talk about the bugs, there was one NPC i had to talk to for the main quest, but he kept running away because earlier i stole something in a chest, I knew about this system so i thought okay i will just wait and do other stuff and get my reputation up so he will forgive me as it is explained in the memo. NO. 10 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY LATER still no changes, so i've looked online and had to hit an npc, get thrown to jail, do my time, THEN then npc will forgive about the stealing. WHAT A JOKE. thanks for wasting my time. There was several NPCs that got stuck at the door frame, had to quit and launch game again so they reset and i am able to talk to them. more about the gameplay now, you have to clean yourself, wash your clothes, repair your armor, etc, so NPC will respect you more during the dialogues, good idea if it was well executed, this is obviously not the case here, just going through a village you make you dirty, do one fight, you have to repair, etc, this is just annoying. the open world is looking great, that's it if i have to give some positive about this game, and i really tried to find more positive things to say but nothing comes to my mind right now. This game is 8 years old, i really expected it to be more polished in 2026. i won't even try to play the sequel, im done with kcd.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RATING: 7.5 / 8 — An extraordinary medieval journey, held back only by technical rough edges Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an incredibly polarizing experience, but one that ultimately captivated me enough to push through and finish the entire game. It’s a title that demands patience, but rewards you in ways very few other RPGs on the market can. THE PROS: Immersion, progression, and a story that leaves a mark The real highlight of the game is the obsessive level of historical research behind it. 1403 Bohemia is beautifully reconstructed, and the atmosphere is thoroughly immersive. But the most rewarding aspect by far is the progression: starting out as Henry without knowing how to do literally anything, and seeing how gameplay radically changes as you level up your skills (and your own coordination), is immensely satisfying. You truly feel part of the world and grow alongside your character. The main story kept me hooked and drove me to the end, further supported by a DLC bundle that is generally great and very enjoyable (though the last one, The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon, felt a step below the rest and less inspired). THE CONS: Pacing issues and technical clunkiness It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though. While the plot is excellent, there were certain moments in the main campaign where I felt a distinct "stretching of the plot," with missions that seemed placed there more to pad out the runtime than out of actual narrative necessity. The biggest issues, however, lie within the technical department. Despite playing it on recent hardware components, the game still suffers from heavy optimization issues, lagging noticeably in certain circumstances. The graphics also show their age and limitations; at times, the engine struggles, with textures popping in late and lighting glitches that break the immersion. The saving system (and the use of mods) A quick service announcement for anyone looking to start: the native saving system via "Saviour Schnapps" is, in my opinion, way too punitive, especially early on. KCD is a game where what you do and how you do it carries massive weight, and dying only to lose hours of progress just because you lack the item to save is deeply frustrating. To fully enjoy the experience, I had to download a mod to unlock free saving—a choice I highly recommend to anyone who wants to keep their sanity intact. In conclusion: A hardcore, old-school RPG that is fascinating, deep, and memorable. If you can overlook some clunky optimization and occasional pacing drops, you will find a near-masterpiece on your hands.
симулятор холопа, но невъебически крутой. минус - оптимизация корявая
Doesn’t matter what gear you have or if you cheated your strength and sword skill - if you suck at the game, you are still getting shіt on and аss fиckеd. Follow Curator: The games that i`ve played
Если вы хотите сдрадать, покупайте эту игру. Худшая боевка, очень калоедский сюжет, максимально много ходить без цели, таски багаются, система репутации буквально не влияет на игру. Разработчика мать ♥♥♥♥
For reference, I played via controller. This combat is legitimately bad on nearly aspect. I quit. I got to Bernard and while I was STARTING to understand how to fight, this Hans guy shows up, and ruined the entire thing. I legitimately didn't get a archery tutorial before this stupid moron wouldn't leave me alone. There was no explanation of how to even aim arrows or that I'm supposed to release arrows after drawing it back IMMEDIATELY or it becomes inaccurate. And I'm expected to compete with some random Nobleman? Then after I manage to beat him (because I googled how to properly do archery, a bad sign) this idiot makes me fight in the arena again, and I just got tired of it. I don't want to engage with this guy, I came to learn combat, not deal with some silver spoon moron. There was no way to just tell him no. No speech methods or any other skill outside of combat. I quit halfway through the fight after he kept jank damaging me (I'd block, then he'd do some weird jank and I'd take damage anyway at full stamina, and after I got multiple hits on him, his health bar hadn't moved, because they weren't multiple in a row? Meanwhile he got a single hit on me, and my bar goes down, even if I had stamina. Enemies appear to have unlimited stamina, which apparently also acts as armor for them, but not for me. Feinting legitimately stopped working outside of Bernard. Half the time, when they follow up on attacks, the green shield icon doesn't even appear to TRY to block it. When it does, and I could block, they block my attack anyway. What's the point of this? Dodging doesn't work on a controller. Give me a button or screw off. I legitimately don't care if it's realistic, a regular guy would NOT be winded after swinging a sword a few times like Henry does. Meanwhile the NPCs are NEVER winded. I cannot recommend this game. While I understand they were trying to be 'realistic', I legitimately feel like I got punished for GOING TO A TUTORIAL. I legitimately had a easier time in Souls games.
life changing game
I had an awful experience with this, I originally played a few hours on console and the performance was awful, so I thought I would try on PC, luckily I did not buy it, it was part of a bundle or something like that, so there is a small plus, but it played poorly, buggy and I just couldn't get into it.
