Great concept, and very well implemented, as I felt myself adapting to the new rules instantly. These sort of games that take a well established game and flip it on it's head aren't usually easy to pull off in a way that doesn't feel either incredibly jarring or mind-numbingly easy. Hats off to the dev that made quite the fun little game.

Endlessly fun and 1000% worth the price tag. My biggest critique is the lack of music, and I would like a bit more unique sound design as a whole for special events. They do this well with the Castle; as such, the sound design that is there is superb. All of the rules that could possibly be relevant are in the rulebook, so even if you haven't played chess before, you should be set up to succeed (it might even be easier). I will be trying to add some of the quirky rulebook vernacular while playing standard chess. Great game.
