About
KeeperRL combines classic dungeon simulator gameplay with roguelike and RPG elements. As an evil keeper you will dig out and construct a dungeon and recruit malicious minions to help do your bidding. You’ll train and equip them and take up the fight with the forces of good around you.
Engage in combat and take direct control of your minions and in true roguelike fashion fight tactical battles in a simultaneous turn-based manner. When you make a move, your enemies also move.
Dig deep into the mountain and establish a great dungeon to fit the needs of you and your minions. Ensure there’s sleeping quarters, training rooms and crafting stations and decorations. Make sure your dungeon is defensible against invaders using traps, guard areas and choke points.
Master up to 10 unique factions and their respective keepers. Play as a Dark Wizard mastering the art of black magic, a Necromancer forging an army of undead or play as a Goblin King, leading a horde of greenskins on a quest to find the lost goblin matrons. Your choice of faction will impact gameplay and the style of your dungeon.
The world is procedurally generated and simulated on a very detailed level. Creatures use equipment and consumable items. There are dozens of special items, spells, attributes and special attacks. Cut off the heads and limbs and blind or poison your enemies in combat and if you’re not careful your enemies can do the same to you. If your Keeper dies it’s game over and you’ll have to start over again so consider your tactics carefully.
Quickly get your dungeon going and go on your first raid, but the game continues to reveal more depth the longer you play and manage to stay alive.

Explore the world around you through a large world map with dangerous locations to raid and pillage for loot and infamy as other factions might attempt to raid your dungeon if you fail to defeat them.
You’ll also explore the mountain you’ve built your dungeon in as you can come across precious resources, treasures or dangerous perils above and below you.
Expand your dungeon and dig tunnels and rooms in both vertical directions as KeeperRL supports many Z-levels.
Download dungeons made by other players from Steam Workshop, and places them on your world map as enemies. See how others design their fortresses, fight with their minions, and steal their loot! After winning the game, you'll have the option to share your dungeon online as well.
Or browse and download any number of the great mods available for the game through Steam Workshop.

It is an ok game but another exemple of a game where forced iron man does not make sense. It is not rogue lite. Rogue lite implies you can do runs that last maybe 1-2 hours and if you fail you are ok with restarting and make progress. This is a game where you can spend 20 hours building up a dungeon and characters and then just die to some random non-sense. And that is the other issue. There is too much random non-sense. The game is also not that complex. The equipment, spells and races are quite limited. For a game with low graphic content one would expect the content to be more exaustive.
I cannot get enough of this game, 400+ hrs so far and i still cant stop myself from going back to it for more, its addictive and parts are difficult, it connects users from around the globe to challenge each others dungeons that survived and completed the game, multiple mods that add either more races more crafting recipes or changes to races already in the game. its a definite buy for anyone needing a fun game that can be replayed over and over again :)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

1. Dig out rooms 2. Place bed, training dummy, bookshelf 3. Click immigrants to add them as they appear 4. Roam around map killing stuff That's really about the depth of this game. I would have been amazing to have these graphics but with Dwarf Fortress mechanics. However this is not deep at all and worth $5 at most. I really don't even feel like playing it anymore and I haven't even played 2 hours.
I've had this wishlisted for years before finally trying it out, and I'm really glad I did. If you like Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld, this game is DEFINITELY worth trying. I found the learning curve to be much more accessible than DF, and the additional mechanics of sending armies out to fight and pillage makes for a super fun and unique gameplay loop. If you are brand new to the genre, I think this is a great place to start (check out Nookrium's beginner guide on youtube for a good rundown of the basics).
Seemed like a really cool game but after actually playing it? :( The combat is Jank and the UI is not very well streamlined. It's gameplay is similar to Rimworld, with most aspects being objectively worse, as in more clunky and annoying to work with. For a game released in 2024 I'd expected this to be a stylistic choice, but it just doesnt feel stylistic as it comes with the cost of gameplay quality.
Pode comprar, adorei o jogo. Se vc gosta de Rimworld e jogos do tipo, compre sem medo.
I randomly came upon this game and at first it seemed basic and limited. 200+ hrs later and i'm still going. Highly recommend
KeeperRL yi Bilmeyen Olumsuz yorum atmasın lütfen herkese hitap etmeyebilir zevk meselesi KeeperRL görüp görebileceğiniz muazzam derinlikteki dungeon keeper dwarf fortress tarzı Analitik düşünce oyunlarından grafik önemsiz. benim için sistem bazlı oyunlar önemli diyorsan. beğenin.
The RNG can just kill you out of nowhere, regardless of your attempts. Something about all of it, just makes every 'retaliation' from the other villains seem very disjointed, and random, beyond the usual raids in other base building games
Terrible controls. Terrible exploration. Tutorial leaves out incredibly important things. I just can't think of a reason why anyone would play this.
