Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.75/day in the week to Aug 3 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Katanaut is a fast-paced, Metroidvania-inspired action roguelite set aboard a massive space station falling into cosmic chaos. With the station slowly spiraling out of control, and its once-human inhabitants twisted into terrors, you’re the unlucky one tasked with uncovering what is going on... assuming you’re able to survive the station's violent halls with souls-like combat.
As Naut, you explore the corridors of this once vibrant station... or what's left of it. The deeper you descend into the station, the environments become more haunting, and the enemies less human.
Through advanced time-manipulation, you’re brought back to life whenever your bio-metrics are no longer detected. In the future where humans are able to download new abilities on demand, the station is now scattered with memory fragments from the fallen. Each one having the potential of being a lost skill or talent waiting to be unlocked.
Every run offers a new pivoted challenge with ever-changing pathways to explore, and pits you against hordes of enemies. Each ride down the station's elevators carries forward progress from the memory fragments you scavenge along your exploration.
In Katanaut, each clash of your blade echoes through the station's empty and flickering corridors, where every corner feels like is a surprise watching you... Whether you thrive in precision combat or prefer dealing with enemies from a safe distance, this is one cleanup job you won't forget.

Crazy amount of content for the price, yielding an amazing rouge-lite. Love the changes made between seasons!
This game's got the best of a hack n slasher with classic Deadcells roguelike elements. slicin' it up is like crack
A fantastic Dead Cells-esque roguelite that takes place on a demon infested space station. It's challenging but not brutalizing and makes you feel very powerful, rewards moving quickly and has a ton of different options for weapons, abilities and powerups. Only finished the first run and there are many New Game + runs after this. I'm very much looking forward to them!

Many who say it picks up after first full clear aren't kidding. Until you beat the first 'final boss' it mostly is just beating the last boss of each zone for its difficulty. Once you start entering warp levels though its challenging and fun. Story/writing isn't half bad either, the aesthetic and music are top notch.

its like dead cells and cyberpunk had a baby
Currently trying to clear the second-to-last difficulty. It's an addictive roguelite with killer movement, satisfying weapons, and very unforgiving foes to slaughter with said weapons. This game is an EASY recommend. With that said, there are some issues that you should know about.

Slide and attack is your bread and butter. While there is a heap of movement and verticality options, sliding gives you i-frames and a damage boost. Debatably, it is necessary to spam slide-attacks to clear rooms / bosses fast enough. This is not ALWAYS the case, but it is true 90% of runs.
Meta-progression feels oddly railroaded. You will likely want to unlock all the meta-progression items that empower the start of your run / give you more health. This will consume most of your currency for unlocking new weapons / abilities in your run. In my case, I only JUST started unlocking new items 15 hours in. This point is obviously subjective, you could unlock items sooner if you'd like.
The game is unbalanced. For example, the game has secret combos that give you damage boost + bonuses, depending on the item synergies. A certain synergy, which is fairly easy to fish for, gives you a 50% damage boost to ALL attacks while time is SLOWED DOWN. Frankly, there are few secret combos, let alone complete builds, which can outpace this damage and survivability potential. Even if I knew these pain points coming in, I'd still buy the game. It's still a pretty good time.
In some areas, the game becomes extremely laggy after loading, possibly due to enemy spawning. Please investigate and optimize this issue in a future update.
It really is a great blend of horror, fast pace, and changes/upgrades to keep things interesting. I love the themes and how levels can changes slightly.
Very similar to dead cells, and takes a lot of inspiration from dead space, silent hill, and resident evil for its enemy design and aesthetic. Incredible for a solo, dev, and I absolutely recommend on sale, or if you like roguleike metroidvania.
