Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Think of the game that you play when you've had a bad day, or when you're upset and just want to relax and feel good. This is one of those kind of games. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but it just has... that *feel* to it. As soon as the theme song starts playing on startup... you can feel the stress just melt away. Just watching the opening movie of the game is enough to bring my anger down a couple of notches pretty much instantly. It's really good at just holding your attention too, you can really just zone into the game and forget your troubles for a while. It's a comfy classic, and it just exudes calm.
I know this is a cult classic but I just can't get into the controls. I had a bad first impression of the game when I started it and it started in windowed mode and you cant change it until after the first cutscenes, tutorial plus first level. So the entire time you play on this tiny window on your desktop. Now if the rest of the game would have been great I could have overlooked this but THE CONTROLS. There is an option for simple controls but I feels incredibly clunky even with those. Also the game is locked to 30FPS, I dont care about FPS to much normally but the fact that the controls are like that, plus the kinda choppy look from the low FPS PLUS the fact that the main theme of the game is spinnig I got motion sick from playing it. Apparantly those problems are not there in We Love Katamari (and I got both games dirt cheap in a bundle) so I'll definitly try this at some point, because the premiss and our little chracter are pretty charming and I'd like to experience it without those issues

Katamari Damacy Reroll preserves the core structure of the original game: simple movement, clear objectives, and a steadily escalating sense of scale. The premise is direct. Roll objects, grow larger, and meet size targets within strict time limits. The clarity of goals makes each run easy to grasp. Controls are dual-stick and require brief adjustment. Once learned, movement becomes predictable and allows smooth navigation through crowded spaces. The design emphasizes momentum and route planning instead of precision. Levels are compact but layered. Each stage introduces new object groups and environmental boundaries that shift as the katamari grows. Early runs focus on small items, and later stages push into larger open areas that highlight the jump in scale. Visual design is stylized and consistent. The bright palette and simple geometry keep objects readable at high speeds. Performance is stable and supports the rapid transitions between size tiers without slowdown. The soundtrack is a major component. Tracks are energetic and define the tone of each stage. Music and movement sync well, which reinforces the game’s rhythm during time-limited challenges. Content is concise. Reroll stays close to the original structure and avoids significant additions. This preserves pacing but may feel short to players expecting expanded features. Overall Katamari Damacy Reroll delivers a clean and faithful update of a focused concept. It offers a tight loop built on scale, momentum, and sensory clarity, and remains effective due to its direct design.
cant access options menu until you do the tutorial, game forgot i was using the controller twice, had to replay the tutorial 4 times, ive never experienced such a bad "remake" in my life
I really like the soundtrack, and have listened to it hundreds of times, but the game was really frustrating to play. I don't like games where you have to rush, and the Katamari is so hard to control, you crash into things constantly and lose progress. On some of the harder levels my Katamari got stuck or went out of bounds and I couldn't return to the play area multiple times. I didn't find it very fun, even though I wanted to like it.
you roll a ball and make the ball bigger in the most Japanese fashion ever. play it right now.
I would recommend this game strictly for casual players, because, lord help you if you want all the achievements. It can feel like this game was coded in three hours at times, there is a lot of frustration with controlling the ball and making sure you don't lose valuable items that you collect. With that in mind, roll away!
I never got to play the original PS2 game, but this game is just great. Fun experimental music, silly gameplay, rebuilding the cosmos to impress space dad. What more could you ask for? We are very pleased. USE A CONTROLLER WITH THIS ONE! 100% completion was an insane scavenger hunt trying to find 1 of literally every possible thing to roll up (not in one run).
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Katamari Damacy. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Katamari Damacy. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Katamari Damacy. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Katamari Damacy. Thank you for reading my review.
The addicting gameplay of rolling up objects and getting bigger always keeps me coming back
