Yet another title in the Ren'ai series. The comfort food I keep coming back to, for a good reason. I played every title from this series so far that's been released in english and to me, this is one of the weaker ones, probably bottom 2. Yet, I still enjoyed it, despite my gripes with the game.
My first route was [b]Ayaka[/b]'s, and while it was pretty enjoyable overall and absolutely loved the not so "closet" pervert heroine, her family was more annoying than funny. I know, since the premise of this game is basically the main character hopping from one heroine's home to another, avoiding their families isn't really possible (except Rito's who lives alone). But how they were handled is a different thing. It's like, I wasn't able to focus on Ayaka because the family took a lot of the attention in a negative way. Up until the very end, their relationship with Takuma, the main character didn't change at all and especially Maru, Ayaka's little sister was a nuisance.
Next was [b]Kyou[/b], by far the worst heroine and route in this game. She has no redeeming quality and besides being incredibly attractive, it feels like Takuma only chose her out of pity. Which is true to a lesser degree. Her route was the longest and way overstayed its welcome, considering they kept repeating the same jokes and had similar banters. She never changed or evolved, only after the credits rolled felt like she changed a little after a time skip. I barely felt any romantic connection or... any at all between her and Takuma, except maybe during the H-scenes which felt a bit odd exactly because of this.
I've had hopes for [b]Hiyori[/b], despite being the butt of the joke a lot of the time. Despite basically every character mocking her personality, intelligence and looks, she has the best chemistry with Takuma. Even he admitted, he feels at ease with her the most. He can just be himself and talk about anything and this also applies to Hiyori. They were also pretty interested in each other. The only thing that overstays its welcome is Hiyori's mom. For a while, she is a silly but likeable character, but she interrupts the route too much for my taste. And for some reason we see her naked more than the actual main heroine. With that said, I liked both Hiyori and her route a lot.
Last one was [b]Rito's[/b]. Leaving the best for last I guess. After 3 very chaotic routes, her's was pretty tame all things considered, except Takuma being more horny than the previous 3 routes for some reason. Rito is definitely the most "normal" heroine, even she admits it at some point, which can be seen as boring, but I didn't see it that way. She still has a few unique quirks. I almost teared up during the last scene before the credits and after the credits, it was just that wholesome which isn't very common in these games. Even the Steam achievement you get for completing her route has the name "The Perfect Wife" which fits her perfectly. And I just can't dislike a character like that.
Despite being in my personal bottom 2 worst Ren'ai games, I would still recommend this game if you played any other games from this series and liked it. I would still give this pretty much the same rating as the majority of the series, I just prefer this one a hair less than most of the others I've read. Still had a lot of fun reading it and never regretted buying it.
