About
Kabuto Park is a cute and short bug collection game. Spend a month as Hana, a little girl on summer vacation. Catch the best bugs and level them up, choose your team carefully and fight other kids to become the Summer Beetle Battles champion.
Expect 2 to 4 hours of serene bug catching, exciting little battles and summer vibes.
Beetles! Butterflies! Bees! Dragonflies! And many more! Discover more than 40 cool bug species that live in Kabuto Park and try to catch them by timing your net swings right.
Choose your team depending on their stats, abilities or look and show other kids who the best beetle battler is! Each bug you select for your team will add cards to your deck that you'll be able to use during the little fights. Try to push your opponents out of the ring.
Your rhino beetle is not strong enough? Feed it candies to level it up and you'll have better luck winning the next fight!
Better boots or a better net will surely make you the best bug catcher! Lucky for you, the local store has everything you need to get access to new areas with new bugs, make rare bugs appear more often or make capture easier.
🪲 What Kabuto Park offers:
A short creature collector: With 2 to 4 hours of playtime, this game is a perfect snack for an afternoon or a few sessions here and there. I like to keep my game short, to the point and respectful of players' time.
Simple game mechanics: A relaxing capture mini game, little bug battles with a simple deck building gameplay, a light upgrade system and a leveling system to upgrade your favorite critters.
A cozy mood: Summer vibes, childlike wonder, cute art and lovely music!
The cutest bugs: Bugs from all around the world are here and ready to become your friend. You can even pet them in your terrarium!
🐞 What Kabuto Park does NOT offer:
No Exploration or moving around in the world.
No big adventure with quests and a long plot.
No multiplayer of any kind. No PVP, no trading.
No spiders. That one is for you arachnophobes.

I LOVE BUGS I LOVE THE BUG ART IN THIS GAME THEY ARE SO ADORABLE-- makes me want to go bug catching next summer :3
I LOVE BUGS AND THIS GAMEEE! It was so much fun!! The battles never felt repetitive and finding all the bugs brought me so much joy. It felt a tiny bit grindy when you're trying to find a certain kind of bug, but otherwise it felt all really well balanced and enjoyable. The characters you meet are all so adorable and I cannot recommend this game enough to bug lovers! The notes they have on bugs are so funny and wonderful to read and its just a great experience overall! 10/10 game :)

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.83/day in the week to Aug 5 → 7.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A very charming little game about catching bugs and having them fight A lovely little bite-sized experience
I loved this game, very cozy and simple but still quite fun. It doesn't feel repetitive despite the mechanics, kept me playing for a while! I often find myself coming back to it for a bit of peace.
TL;DR Will I Like It?
If you're looking for an charming, low-stakes collect-a-thon Pokemon-esque game, with a bug theme, this is an easy recommendation. Especially good for kids.
Full review
I use a plus + and minus - system for how significantly each item improved or affected my experience. +++ Extremely cute hand-drawn-like aesthetic. Each insect and kid and area is beautifully drawn and animated. ++ Music and SFX are good. ++ Game is very simple and easy, but I think this is actually a strength in this case. The core gameplay loop is: catch bugs with net, build a team, sell bugs you don't want, level up your team, compete in the tournament. The catching bugs is a timing minigame which is very forgiving and can be made even easier. Building a good team requires recognising big number better than small number, and maybe reading card abilities, but a max level of any bug is strong. The tournament has no consequences for losing, and you mostly watch the bugs play tug of war, occasionally giving them a boost with ability cards. There's no real failure state. You can't even brick your save by selling all your bugs by accident. Kids especially will probably enjoy the mechanics. However, adults may find the gameplay loop too simple. I have the 'tism, so I loved the calm and safe vibes. The one possible danger area is the shop. If the player buys too many consumables, they may become unable to buy necessary permanent upgrades. Coins are a limited resource. + Plenty of accessibility options for tailoring difficulty to the player. - Linux native build has no sound. Can be fixed by properties > compatibility ~ > Force Proton 11. - Some of the animations, loading screens, and transitions were a bit long with no way to skip them. I found myself frequently waiting for the "ok" button to appear. It's also missing a "replay" button for the level you're catching bugs. - Controller support isn't quite there. You can manage it with manually moving the cursor with the right stick, but the left stick will skip over buttons and behave a bit strangely. I'd use a mouse for this one if possible, it seems primarily designed around mouse / touchscreen. Obviously keyboard required for custom names. - Catching bugs can get a bit repetitive after a while. There's not much to mix it up, and no real way to influence your chances of finding a rare bug, so you kind of just keep going back to the same map repeatedly. I don't think kids will mind as much though.
Disclaimer
My reviews are based on my personal opinions and experiences. cute n short
lindimais, muito divertido e engraçadinho
Wonderful game. Catch & Battle type game. I love the different varieties of bugs you can catch to use in battle or just to keep. I love the graphics of the game (gives a home-drawn feeling). Cool little characters. Cutesy aesthetic, relaxing and chill, lots of fun. Would love to see online multiplayer bug battles if possible, think that would be a great time with friends. Thank you dev :)
