"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here, it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now *BANG* you're selling it *BANG* you wanna sell it." -Ian Malcolm _____ Buy this when it's on sale as a complete/ ultimate edition. There is no good reason why Frontier, after having some of us be loyal supporters and customers for 2 whole games, should be charging more for DLC and "expansions" than they ever have. In JWE1, two expansions were $15, and RTJP was $20. Dinosaur packs were $5. In JWE2, two $20 expansions, and dinosaur packs were $8. JWE3 has one pack at $10, and this most recent Crocodile Coast pack is $15 along with the $25 Afterbirth expansion. Until now, Frontier has never charged more than $20 for any DLC items, and *Afterbirth* is the film they really wanted to try pushing the pricetag over? This is getting ridiculous. But, because many players are indeed children who use mom's credit card, there may never be enough negative pushback to fix it. This series was built on the back of JPOG, but they still can't get the combat and hunting right after 3 entries. Prehistoric Kingdom released update 17 and immediately the animal AI put JWE to shame. Sauropods can actually defend themselves. Hunting and fighting aren't canned animations, but instead dynamic actions. A carnivore reaches an herbivore and it doesn't automatically bodyslam it's prey, instead it takes a bite, and the prey animal takes damage where it may then fall to be killed or continues to try and escape. You can watch an animal mature from infant to adult in one smooth transition as opposed to an adult just blinking into place where a juvenile just was. The competition has finally caught up, ran a whole lap ahead, and Frontier has the gall to get even more money hungry? Never buying anything at full price from this series again. You'll be seeing me in the review sections for Afterbirth and Crocodile Coast repeating the same sentiments when they're priced as they should have been. Shame on you, Frontier. "Now you're John Hammond." - Ian Malcolm
When the Crocodilia Coast DLC dropped with a price increase AND two resold species, they told us this was a necessity because the Deinosuchus was an entirely new rig AND needed changes to existing dinosaurs to make the death roll work. That was a lie. 3 new species, 2 resold at the higher price is now the standard. I gave Frontier the benefit of the doubt for CC, but, well, serves me. Won't be buying anything else from them.
I genuinely didn't think Frontier could top Jurassic World Evolution 2, but somehow they managed to exceed every expectation I had. Jurassic World Evolution 3 isn't just another sequel—it's the definitive dinosaur park management experience and easily one of the best simulation games I've ever played. From the moment I started my first park, I knew this game was something special. The amount of detail is simply incredible. Every dinosaur feels alive thanks to the new animations, behaviors, social interactions, breeding mechanics, and juvenile dinosaurs. Watching dinosaurs build nests, raise their young, interact with their environment, and behave naturally makes the parks feel more like living ecosystems than ever before. You can spend hours just observing them, and it never gets old. The graphics are absolutely stunning. Every biome looks gorgeous, the lighting is phenomenal, weather effects completely transform the atmosphere, and every dinosaur is beautifully modeled with amazing textures and animations. Whether you're building in a lush tropical environment or a snowy landscape, every park feels unique and immersive. The creative freedom is on another level. The modular building system, expanded decorations, terrain tools, fences, pathways, attractions, and customization options allow you to build exactly the park you've always imagined. Instead of feeling restricted, I constantly found myself experimenting with new layouts and designs because the game gives you so many possibilities. Management has also been greatly improved. Running a successful park feels rewarding without becoming frustrating. Balancing finances, guest happiness, dinosaur welfare, research, security, and expansion creates a satisfying challenge that keeps every playthrough interesting. Every decision feels meaningful, and there's always something exciting happening. The dinosaur roster is fantastic, featuring an amazing variety of prehistoric animals with incredible attention to detail. Seeing classic favorites alongside brand-new species keeps exploration exciting, and every enclosure feels different depending on which animals you choose. The sound design deserves special praise as well—the roars, footsteps, ambient sounds, and music create an atmosphere that perfectly captures the magic of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Performance has also been excellent for me. The game runs smoothly even with large parks full of guests and dozens of dinosaurs roaming around. The interface is cleaner, easier to navigate, and packed with quality-of-life improvements that make building and managing parks much more enjoyable. What impresses me most is just how much passion Frontier clearly put into this game. It feels like they listened to years of community feedback and combined the best parts of the previous games while introducing meaningful new mechanics instead of simply making small upgrades. Every hour I play reveals another feature or detail that makes me appreciate the game even more. Whether you're a lifelong Jurassic Park fan, someone who loves management simulators, or just enjoys creating beautiful parks, Jurassic World Evolution 3 delivers an unforgettable experience. It's relaxing when you want it to be, challenging when you need it to be, and endlessly rewarding from start to finish. This is the dinosaur park game I've always dreamed of. I can easily see myself putting hundreds—if not thousands—of hours into it. Frontier has created something truly special here, and I can't recommend it highly enough. 10/10. Five stars without hesitation. A must-play for every dinosaur fan.
Its easily the best of the three and a great step forward for frontier as far as a dev team goes but this game suffers from what all the other frontier games suffer from, they really are just park designers. management is really obtuse and missing in to many regards. There is almost no sense of accomplishment with the lack of any sort of difficulty in any of their stuff. You can spend hours designing things that really in the end is just a waste of time. This one does move the needle up a bit tho with all that said but its till not enough for me to have fronteir games as must buy at release type stuff. I like to wait till I can get it cheap as I did with this one. Hopefully they keep moving forward with the actual depth of meaningful gameplay and not so much just designing things.
Can you add Sarcosuchus too
Hate the new campaign system - nowhere near as good as 2's tbh Basically makes you build several parks to 5 stars (beyond 20hrs of gameplay) before you can unlock Large carnivores like T-rex etc - waste of time
Go play PK instead. Game is super shallow.
Barely anything changed between the last game and this one, just a cashgrab.
It's a real SHAME that this company is VERY GREEDY! They know how to make games that are VERY barebones to sell you the content. If you want to play their games, prepare to pay out.
