Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Sep 3 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Search for vehicles scattered across semi-open maps and tear through the wasteland. Each ride feels unique: some pack serious firepower or special abilities; others come with handy tools like winches. As much as I enjoyed playing this game when it launched, coming back now to get a face full of what I can only see as this game's "Season Pass" is an incredibly sour note. FOMO has no place in games, especially PvE ones.. not worth wasting any more of my time here.

I really enjoy this game, and I think it does a lot of stuff right, but I'm not recommending any Saber game while their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genAI-loving CEO Karch is in charge.
Wenigstens 50% besser 75% Nachlass.
The battle pass is awful. As usual, they’ve taken the worst of the worst; tying specific weapon types to difficulty levels, locations, and enemy types is a design choice on par with some of the stratagems in *Space Marine 2*. Your game isn't good enough to warrant living in it, and naturally, you haven't given a thought to people who can only play a couple of hours a week. I used to enjoy logging in because I knew the content wasn't going anywhere, but now I see no point in spending even twenty minutes on something that will be taken away at the end of the season just because I’m not enough of a hardcore grinder.
Not enough maps and the new game mode and weapons are terrible. How about a horde mode with waves and a base to defend?
Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam. Is this game a masterpiece? Well, it is a first-person shooter packed with zombies with John Carpenter’s name in it. So what has the master of cult horror movies come up with this time? John Carpenter is known for a number of trashy horror films. For example, he was responsible for Halloween, The Fog, The Thing (the game based on the movie recently received a remaster), and They Live from 1988—the absurd cult horror film in which aliens can only be seen when wearing special sunglasses. Which I actually watched this morning. John Carpenter also came up with the story for Toxic Commando. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. I’m excited about it either way! In terms of genre, I’d classify John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando as a horde-based first-person shooter. You fight against waves of attacking enemies with up to three friends—similar to Left 4 Dead and quite a few others. Four mercenaries take on a job without really knowing what to expect. $250,000 sounds good—but is that per person or total? These mercenaries aren’t exactly the brightest. When they arrive at a massive wall and a gate opens, granting them access to a huge facility, things quickly spiral out of control. Mindless infected zombie hordes rush toward you, and you blast them away with whatever weapons you have. Zombies can’t take much damage (bosses excluded), and you’ve got assault rifles, machine guns, SMGs, pistols, machetes, grenades, fuel barrels, and more—or you just run them over with your jeep. The gameplay is exactly what you’d expect—Left 4 Dead sends its regards. Only the graphics look much nicer. Your jeep (a Mad Max-style Humvee) is awesome. It seats four people: a driver, a machine gunner on the roof, and passengers who can shoot from the windows. The jeep needs regular fuel, ammo for the roof-mounted MG, and spare parts for repairs. It features a winch to remove obstacles or pull you across gaps, a handbrake, headlights, and even a horn to attract enemies. It can also clear contaminated sludge. It’s almost like a vehicle simulation. In any case, driving it around and maintaining it is a lot of fun. At least for me, but I also enjoyed Spintires. Later vehicles can not only be visually customized, but also come with unique special functions. Of course, the first mission goes completely wrong—we were supposed to deliver a canister of special fuel for a weapon that could stop the zombie outbreak. Unfortunately… we used the canister for something else. And now we’re infected ourselves. Only a special suit given to us by our mysterious employer Leon is preventing the infection from breaking out—for about a week. That’s exactly how long we now have to solve the problem at its source. And to do that, we’ll have to fight our way through a whole series of missions—preferably with four players online. Or with three bots that can shoot quite accurately—but can’t drive the car, operate switches, or man stationary machine guns. You’ll have to do all that yourself! Between missions, you upgrade your character at Leon’s camp using resources (Sludgite / Residium / Mortite and experience points) that you collected during missions. Classic looter-shooter mechanics. There are four characters, a massive skill tree, a huge selection of weapons, customizable outfits, and multiple configurable vehicles. If you enjoy the game and bring back enough resources, you can really go wild in the camp. You just need enough ressources - happy grinding! There’s even a firing range to test your weapons in the camp. The game is always online-only. Even if you play solo, don’t take too long in the bathroom—you’ll get kicked and have to restart the mission. You can’t pause or save, either. Once you start a mission, you have to play it through. What a mess. Sorry, but I’m really getting tired of these always-online games. Of course, the fun in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando largely comes from playing together with friends. But it’s not cheap enough that I can easily convince three friends to buy it as well. And there are already plenty of other solid Left 4 Dead clones we haven’t finished yet. Plus—when do four adults ever have time to meet regularly for longer gaming sessions? As a student, that worked fine—we used to play Battlefield 1942 over LAN… nowadays, I’m happy if we manage four longer gaming sessions per year. Anyway, the bots are actually quite decent—so why can’t I just play offline with them (and pause when I want)? If you don’t want to play with bots and your friends don’t own the game, you’re left with random people online—assuming anyone is even playing at the time. And once the servers eventually shut down (tomorrow? in a year? in five years?), that’s it for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. So enjoy it while it lasts—it’s not actually a bad game. Conclusion: Quick—repair the MG turret. Heal your teammate. Activate the electric floor trap. Grab enough ammo from the crate. Then decide where to position yourselves—before hordes of infected swarm you from all sides. Situations like this happen every few minutes in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. Then you move on, pick off scattered zombies, and prepare for the next big defensive battle. The graphics are good, the gameplay is fun—and if you don’t mind the always-online requirement and ideally have three friends to play with, you’ll might enjoy the game... if you do not mind grinding.
Toxic Commando is exactly what I expected it to be: a co-op zombie horde shooter in the same vein as Left 4 Dead and the many games it inspired. The biggest difference is that it feels a bit more open in its level design and includes vehicles, which add some variety to the usual formula of moving from one objective to the next while fighting off waves of enemies. Like most Left 4 Dead-style games, the gameplay can become repetitive. You're essentially completing objectives, fighting hordes, and repeating the cycle. That said, I keep coming back to it because I enjoy the progression system. Upgrading weapons and abilities gives me something to work toward and helps keep the gameplay engaging, even after replaying missions multiple times. Currently, the game features only eight levels, not including the tutorial. While that isn't a huge amount of content, the higher difficulty settings provide a solid challenge and add replay value for players looking to test their skills. The final level also hints at a continuation of the story, which has me interested in seeing where the developers take the game next. I'm hoping future updates add more weapons, abilities, vehicles (tank would be nice), and enemy types. The foundation is there, and expanding the content would go a long way toward keeping the game fresh over the long term. I honestly don't understand many of the negative reviews. Anyone familiar with the genre should have known what they were buying. Every Left 4 Dead-style game can feel repetitive if you don't enjoy that type of gameplay. If you found games like Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood, or similar co-op horde shooters boring, then Toxic Commando probably won't change your mind. From a technical standpoint, the game has been excellent for me. It runs smoothly on high settings, and I haven't encountered any bugs or major issues during my time playing. Overall, I'm enjoying Toxic Commando and look forward to future updates. If you enjoy co-op zombie shooters, don't mind replaying levels, and like the idea of teaming up with three other players to mow down massive hordes of zombies, I can easily recommend giving it a try.
