Started out fun, good graphics and game play. After the 3rd or 4th level you drop off into no mans land and it glitches and gets stuck. tried restarting multiple times. Not sure if intentional. Needs work.

the style and music of the game is nice, but to me the most important part of a platformer is the movement and i dont think you have nailed it yet, the movement is too stiff and finicky. when trying to dash onto platforms you have to perfectly dash or you cant make it, the character falls so fast that its difficult to do any jumping and lacks the fundamental floatyness of most platformers where jumping is exaggerated to allow fast clean movement. the diagonal dashing is very difficult to do because even when holding my joystick in the direction i want to go it usually dashes up or sideways. the dash also needs a tweak to its hitbox because half the time i dash and get hit and do no damage because where the dash ends didnt count as a dash to the enemy. there are also a lot of objects on the map without physical hitboxes so i can walk into and through rocks. lastly the graphics settings dont save and i have to reset them on every launch. that said the game looks cool i just wish it was fun to play, since right now it doesnt feel difficult it just feels janky and unpolished
Игра 'Jacktus Green: The Fluffy, the Spiky and the Spicy' – это очаровательная головоломка с приятной минималистичной графикой и умным дизайном уровней.
In all honesty this game is fairly good. The game is pretty short which does have some ups and downs, as i can speedrun the game really quickly but that does mean it lacks content so maybe more levels; bad and good things... Bad: I cannot turn off the sound and is always playing even though I have turned it down in settings. Some of the menovers can be really tricky and hard to perform. You cant change the keybinds making you have to figure it out on keyboard or use a controller. Good: The music is an absolute bop, it can get annoying but easy to jam out to. The storyline is nice and easy to follow. The graphics are are pretty good and the customization is really diverse. In summary this game is actually fun and an intreresting storyline
1. The gamepad is not compatible with standard mode. 2. The game is not easy to operate, and it is easy to fail to jump and sprint to the right. Penetrating the model, the game model is not refreshed, returning to the menu is not resolved, and closing the game has only a 50% chance of fixing bugs. Level 4 is the most serious (it is almost impossible to complete the level without taking damage) 4. Save error, will return to nearby non-save points (and save health state) 5. Game counter is faulty, killing 120 gang will not complete 6. If you don't play through the game without taking damage, the game is OK 1.
It's an alright game but I can't recommend it in its current state. None of the settings seem to actually work?I tried turning down the volume which did nothing (and had a weird rounding error), and turning down graphics also didn't have any notable change. When playing the game it's alright, a decent platformer with some hiccups. It starts to really struggle which is odd because it's not a huge game, and my computer really should easily handle it.It has a ton of bloom and other effects which personally make me motion sick but that's a me issue. But in the third world it crashed after dying and that kinda was the last straw for me. It's all stuff that can probably be fixed at least, and I do like the character design, but how it is currently I can't really tell people to try, even for free.
Jacktus Green is a fun experience with good visuals, fitting music and alright gameplay there is a few flaws however, the game is also very non-optimised as it runs at 20-30 fps for most of my playing time, this could be fixed if I was able to access the menus to turn down the graphics but without a controller accessing the menu is impossible. The movement in the game, though alright, feels slightly clunky to play and not really a smooth playing experience, I do reckon the game with a controller would feel much better though.
