6 из 10. Клон кОнтры с отсылками на другие нэс проекты. Интересный сеттинг, вполне играбельно. Игра как будто недоозвучена, хотя треки драйвовые, но многих звуков не хватает. Очень короткая. Играть строго в коопе (с ним тоже были проблемы). Технически сыровата. На разок пойдет

Awesome Run and gun game. Quite short, took me two hours on normal skill, but there's a boss rush, arcade mode, and some game modifiers I haven't looked into. So there's plenty replay value if you wanna git gud. It could use some kind of record keeping. Each level should have the high score and lowest time and deaths score for each difficulty, same for the boss rush and arcade modes.

Like most guys my age, I love Contra. I remember being in sixth grade and playing it with my brother, who was in high school at the time. A few years later I used to play Contra III: Alien Wars on the SNES with my best friend. So I've played quite a few Contra-inspired retro games over the years, some of which have been pretty cool, like Terminator 2D: No Fate, and many which have been underwhelming. Iron Meat is the first Contra homage I've ever played that made me feel the same thing I felt playing the original Contra or Contra III. No complex story, no complicated game mechanics, no nonsense. It doesn't waste your time, you just shoot everything and you can beat it in less than two hours and walk away feeling like you saved the world from a gross techno-organic alien invasion like it's 1988.
