About

While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

Reviews
When it comes to modern retro-style shooters (Often called Boomer Shooters), Ion Fury is one of the best available right now. With a strong Futuristic theme helping it stand out from the other options that are usually some form of demonic/otherworldly monsters, Ion Fury's enemy design instead goes for a machine-punk cybernetically enhanced humanoids and lab experiments gone wrong. To combat these cybernetic foes, Shelly gathers quite the arsenal. Like a Revolver with an auto aim "deadeye" function, bowling bombs that can be rolled into enemies, an auto shotgun with a grenade launcher alternative mode, SMGs that can light enemies ablaze, and a Futuristic Crossbow that can charge to fire energy bolts in a spread pattern, many of the the weapons provide something different, and feel great in the hands of the player. However the stun baton can leave a lot of lot to be desired and mostly used to power generators for progression. The level design pushes the build engine to its limit with Towering skyscrapers and Sprawling interiors. I find the gunplay is at its best in these tight corridors within the interior levels where you don't know what might be behind the next corner or door, when there's plenty of objects laced about to use as cover, compared to say the more open levels where enemies will attack you from all directions. The level progression at first can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around, but over time it became second nature to observe my surroundings for the path forward. However, I do recommend a guide if you want to locate secrets as even for a Retro Shooter pretty much all of the secrets are seriously obscure, there is a limited use radar that can help, but these are usually only found as secrets themselves and only lasts for a short amount of time. All in All, The moment to moment gunplay is top notch, the amount of levels in the game is truly staggering and while some levels can be a bit drab in aesthetic there's a lot of levels that just are really great aesthetically in many parts of the game. Whether its the Corporate Offices, a secret underground laboratory, a Baseball Stadium, or a elaborate manor turned into a death trap, there's a lot more in here than just a cyber city and sewers.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was 13 years old when I got into Duke Nukem 3D, and Shadow Warrior. This is a delightful return to that style of game, with cheesy one-liners, and references to pop-culture.
Good boomer shooter. Retro graphics with modern gameplay features.
88% positive - how ? i liked nothing about this game and i usually like shooters. also lots of bugs.
worth it
Good Duke Nukem 3D throw back.
A nostalgic and thrilling old-school shooter that brought back fond memories of my childhood days playing Duke Nukem. I couldn’t get enough and kept coming back for more!
Just play it, its a masterpiece. Well, not quite, buts its the best 93 megabytes of fun I've had in long time. Yes! Ninety three megabytes! Battlefield 6 is 80,000 megabytes and its a corporate pile of dung. At some point, i cant quite remember when, video games were hijacked by talentless corporate scum. UPDATE: After many hours I completed the campaign. Great fun and very satisfying. Well worth the money. If I had any criticisms they would be with the primitive enemy behaviour and level/chapter size. I think if they had broken down the chapters down in to smaller chunks it would have felt like it was moving along faster and you were achieving more and less of slog at times. Nonetheless, what a great game. The developers did a great job making a modern FPS using such old technology. THANK YOU!
