About

While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ion Fury is a beautifully crafted FPS pushing the build engine to it's very limits and I loved it. Blood still tops my list of favourite Build games, but Ion Fury is now a close second. The weapons can take some getting used to, but once you do and it all clicks the game play loop is incredibly fun. All the weapons harmonise perfectly and you'll find yourself always using your whole arsenal with no weapon being left behind once you've found something better. The pistol is the finest in any FPS I have played, with it's lock-on mechanic solving the occasional issue of huge maps on the build engine as, although pretty rare, far off enemies can sometimes be hard to see. It's a long game, even longer if you choose to look for the hard to find, sometimes insanely hidden, secrets and you probably won't want to marathon the game. However I played a few levels here and there and enjoyed all my time with it. Thoroughly looking forward to playing the DLC.
Good boomer shooter. Retro graphics with modern gameplay features.
Great shooter with good pacing, interesting level design and satisfying pixelated combat. I hope to see sequel to this in the same format. I don't know WHY I killed everything I did but I sure enjoyed the process.
It's a fantastic build-engine style shooter. If you want to relive the days of duke nukem style gameplay - play this masterpiece.
Must play if you enjoy Quake, Dusk, Selaco and other boomer-shooter titles. Wonderfully polished and fun.
I usually like to wait till a finish a game's campaign before leaving a review, but with Ion Fury I just had to sing my praises early. A lot of others have stated that this game pushes the Build Engine to its absolute limits, and I couldn't agree more. This game really shows what engines of yesteryear were capable of in the hands of those who understand it and how they can still hang with the modern engines and games, offering beautiful, polished graphics and art with that small trace of pixelation you'd expect of a game from the 90s, while giving us so many modern trappings such as aimlook, reloading, and twitch-reflex shootouts. On the topic of being from the 90s, this game doesn't just attempt to replicate the style like many modern boomer shooters you see, but with the advantage of being on the build engine, it straight-up looks like it was pulled from that era, being more in-line with its brethren Blood and Duke Nuke'em than, say, something like Dusk or Forgive me Father. Some people might be turned off by how loyally it sticks to its 90s roots, and may tire of things like collecting keycards to advance, or the limits in things such as tiered armors, or even non-regenerative health, but these are all important aspects of what makes a boomer shooter what it is, and Ion Fury wears its heart on its sleeve. The environments, or at least those of what I've seen, are immaculate and dripping in atmosphere. The cyberpunk city is an absolute joy to explore and the robed cultist enemies are always a blast to, well... Blast away. Speaking of design, this game also doesn't hide how deeply secrets are a part of its design, and if you're a completionist, expect to be spending possibly hours on each level exploring every nook and cranny and silently cussing at your screen as the secret is in your view but out of your reach, and the solution may not be one that you can come to understanding quickly. Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison may be one of the coolest "retro" characters I've ever seen and, while this might be controversial, I far prefer her over Duke Nuke'em (although she still doesn't reach the levels of badassery that you'll see in the DOOM Marine/Slayer), and her one-liners and quips keep her feeling incredibly organic and likeable to play through the game as. I never played any of the other "Bombshell" games (I've seen they don't tend to hold up to this one), but this version of her I can absolutely say I really enjoy. Great atmosphere, great protagonist, incredible weapons, and as close as you can get to the shooters of the 90s without literally playing them, this game is an absolute must-play for any boomer shooter fans, I don't see how you can go wrong with this game in any way. After finishing the game and taking down Heskel, I can say everything I mentioned still stands. This is possibly the best boomer shooter I've ever played!
