Today is 24AUG2020, it's the first day I've played Interstellar Marines in 4 years to see some massive improvements to the game, and I'm sorry to say that this is a joke. Other Early Access titles at least throw their players a bone by saying they've stopped working on a project and (sometimes) remove their games from the Store. Zero Point Software however, keeps this product on the store with little to no progress to show for the year 2020 alone. The last update video was over a year ago with some seasonal events sprinkled in. There was (and still is I guess if you're a hopeless optimist) a lot of potential for the title. Playing the Neurogen Incident the first time gave me an immediate Star Wars: Republic Commando feeling, except it was a lot more stressful, it was scarier, and slower. Unfortunately the devs at some point made a directional shift towards competitive multiplayer when they should have honed in on the single player/co-op missions instead. Now the devs need a publisher (not gonna happen, prove me wrong) who's willing to dump money into a project that has no clear direction. I haven't played G.T.F.O. but from gameplay I've seen, it's worth it's 30 dollar price tag instead of this game's 10 dollar price tag.
I was there in the beginning. You can search me up in the steam forum discussions and probably see my posts from when I was 13/14 years old. I mistook concept art for the real game and thought it would be about fighting weird shark aliens - sort of like UNSC/ODST troopers. For some reason the devs really hammered in on PVP. It was years before we got a co-op/single player level and any momentum the game had was lost. The map & sound incredibly atmospheric and spooky - the HUD design was minimalist. The PVP however, was just ok. Compared to other PVP titles of the 2013-2016 era this did not hold a candle. By the time the battle royales began to rise this game had a dying but strong ember of a community that I believe limped along for the next 3 years. So many remember this game for what it could've been. What we all dreamed it could be - each of those dreams a little different. I'll say this ZPS, you were able to capture the hearts of a few and we're all sadden the game was not delivered. None believe we got close to the start let alone the end. C'est la vie
This game is awful, a hands down do not purchase title.

This game is abandoned.
Dead game. Don't bother.
dead game, remember it "released" in 2013 and hasn't been completed in 8 years.
