About

Inside the Backrooms is a Co-op online horror game up to 4 players, where you and your friends will fight to escape from the different levels of the backrooms, solving different puzzles with different mechanics in each one.
This game is based on the famous creepypasta with many real references implemented such as iconic entities and important elements. You will have to explore each room, look for elements that help you to continue advancing throughout the game and unlock new areas, but the further you go, more dangerous it will be, you must pay close attention in the area, identify each entity and know how to avoid them if you want to survive.
Look for supplies, store them in your inventory, explore all the rooms, solve puzzles, unlock areas of the map, interact, try to collect everything you find.
The main objective of Inside the Backrooms is to engage players with its gameplay, difficulty and atmosphere. There are countless identical rooms with an old, dirty carpet and pale yellowish walls, where at first glance it gives you a gloomy and bad feeling where you realize that it is not a safe place.
The game currently has 5 levels, each level is huge and is designed to be more difficult than the previous one and each one with different puzzles and mechanics.
There are also 2 secret mini levels that will lead you to a secret ending..
In this game you will find several entities, currently 6 entities, all based on the original creepypasta, each entity will have different ways of attacking and manifesting, so it will be important to know it's behavior of each of these and avoid at all costs that several entities finds you at the same time, if this happens, you will have a bad time.
Inside the Backrooms has a lot of diverse, interesting and entertaining puzzles, from simple ones to the complex and laborious, they are carefully elaborated with the purpouse of being solved both individually and cooperatively, in addition to this, to make the puzzles more dynamic and attractive, in each new game the solution of all of them changes, which means that it wont be always the same answer! so test your puzzle resolution skills and try to escape from this terrifying place full of mysteries.
If you want to survive in the backrooms you will need to look for essential items and manage them properly, because if you get short of any of them, it could mean your death.
These are some of the items you can find on your journey through the backrooms:
Almond Water: Regenerate part of life.
Pills: Eliminate Anxiety
Radios: Allows communication at a distance with your team
Flashlight: Allows you to see in dark areas.
Protection Suit: Allows you to prevent getting radiation on some areas.
Documents and Notes: Provides relevant information.
Here are some of the current features of the game:
Proximity Voice Chat: Talk to the nearest people using the voice chat, but be careful, some entities could hear you...
Stamina: The player will have limited stamina that you will need to manage correctly, if an entity is close to you, it will be your best ally to escape.
Inventory: You will be able to take various items and store them in your inventory, however, space is limited.
Anxiety: When you see an entity, your state of anxiety will increase, going through a disorder of fear and poor visibility.
Entities: Each entity has its own attack modes, learn their techniques to evade them.
Respawn: The game incorpore a creative and dynamic way to respawn, you will able to respawn up to 3 times.

really good game up until the most recent update which basically ruined so many levels making them so easy it went from actually a puzzle to simple just giving you the answer the most recent level the trainstation was fun but every other level is just too easy to be fun simple fix is to either undo the changes making the levels this easy or make it so people can go back and play the levels before the update

What have you done to the wire man? He was horrifying 3 years ago, now he feels like he was ordered off of temu.

I have had this game for awhile now and it is definitely going through its ups and downs. When I first got it some of the levels were a bit too easy while others were way too complex all on the same difficulty. It really needed more balance with how many puzzles/tasks per level and how difficult each puzzle was. For example, in the lobby you had to run around, find a ladder, figure out the elevator code which was very easy and then it would take you to the darkrooms where there were four or five puzzles with a minimum of three tasks you needed to do to complete them. However, it was still a fun experience. First time they reworked levels it did improve and expand the gameplay in a mostly good way. Going back to the lobby and darkrooms contrast, instead of running around looking for a ladder and doing the elevator code, there were a couple different puzzles, each with a few tasks. The timed parkour area, I think, could have used some fixing as it was weirdly difficult sometimes and a bit buggy, but It was still a decent experience. The most recent update is bad. Even when I was reading through the announcement of what was updated I could tell it wasn't going to be great. It feels like they went back on levels that had minor issues and instead of just fixing them they reworked the entire level and just made it easy which solves nothing. My average playthrough time for the lobby was around 30 minutes and it is now 3 minutes. There also seems to be this whacky paradox where they have gone in and tried to make all the existing maps easier, but the two new levels were ridiculously difficult at the same time on the same difficulty. They added in arrows absolutely everywhere leaving no mystery at all on where you are supposed to go, but will give you one drawing with three words for a puzzle that is super confusing and in the case of the poolrooms they give no notes at all. So while my friend and I were having a blast about the fact that we could interact with the floaties and run around, it quickly soured in confusion on what we were supposed to be doing. While we did eventually figure it out it seems unreasonably difficult for normal mode to not leave even one note especially when you compare it to how obscenely easy the lobby is. The entity in the train station was also infuriating. I had no info on it, didn't see it for like 40 minutes, and then it was peaking around every single corner, making the irritation of not figuring out the last puzzle (which was 100% my fault, I was putting it in the wrong order) that much more frustrating. Once I did figure it out and go to leave, it was blocking the exit staring at me and did not disappear at all. I ended up staring at the ground and running around it. It has the potential to make the atmosphere feel really tense, for awhile I kept thinking I was seeing things, until it got to the end and I had all those issues with it. I think that the developer definitely need to focus on choosing how they are going to make the difficulty settings - Choosing if easy difficulty means an easier version of the map, and/or easier puzzles, and/or lower entity interaction (same for normal and hard), then sticking to it so that the playthrough is a lot more balanced. It would be awesome if they chose all three, that way there is a ton of replay ability. Instead of butchering maps that were a lot of fun, like the previous two abandoned office maps (I loved the original level they had when I bought the game most). That being said, it still is early access. Some updates are awesome, some of them are not, and I have yet to play every single level in the new update so maybe they wont all be bad compared to how they previously were (like the caves, that one was way too difficult). I think there is a lot of potential still and I hope that the dev is receptive to the feedback requesting previous maps be reinstalled and that they are able to refine the gameplay not repeatedly, completely, overhaul it.

fck diese caves level diese ganzen MOTTEN IN EUCH REIN
This was my favorite Backrooms game, but too much was removed (puzzles, enemies). Please consider doing that only for the 'Easy' and 'Normal' difficulty levels. For 'Hard', just bring back the old, standard levels with all the puzzles that made you think; 'Poolrooms' was way too easy. 'Train Station' was a very good level—a plus—but please just put back the old levels that really made you rack your brain. Thank you very much.
