The developers are working on this game every day for this game and the updates are weekly. The only thing you need to know right now. It has a lot of potential and I believe these guys
Promising concept, horrible results. Game is no longer being worked on. Oh well something I look forward to is down the drain. Atleast I can have my pick of all the zombie killing games I want. Sadly the only zombie controlling games are all ♥♥♥♥, or abandoned or both.
Eternal early access garbage.

looks like an awesome game
An abandoned, unplayable mess. Avoid.

Play Plague Inc instead. http://store.steampowered.com/app/246620/Plague_Inc_Evolved/ Early Access 2015. No storymode. Skirmish is just using RTS conventions to guide a few zombies around until they meet a city, at which point they flail at it converting it to infected. The research rate was way too high for me to do anything about. I could not spend the viruspoints on the upgrades that were on the left hand side of the screen despite my having the required amounts. The upgrade path in the Research menu was simple +damage +speed type bonuses that you could purchase multiple increments of. Not too fond of the idea of having to herd the zombies manually from city to city until the whole globe has been taken.
I bought this game yesterday as I'm a fan of zombie and strategy games, and I can tell you this game was exactly what I was looking for. At first I was quite unsure on how to start playing the game, what the controls were, which game mode to choose and so, maybe this is because career mode hasn't been released yet. Nevertheless I quickly caught on. I started playing a few levels of Skirmish to get a good feel of the game. The first time I was a bit lost and I must admit the tutorial wasn't as helpful as I'd like since you have to read it and start playing before the hunger timer runs out. I proceeded to play World Domination, and this when I started to experience what the game was really capable of. Time flew by as I conquered city after city, researching to upgrade my horde and getting stronger, to combat stronger enemies and cities. For this game mode though I would suggest an optional 2D view of the map, and a Ctrl-A command to select all of your horde. At a certain point, nearing the end of my domination the game started lagging, this could be just my PC but I think some optimisation would help solve the problem. Also I quite liked the soundtrack, the only improvement I can see here is for the tracks to play depending on what phase of a game you are on (eg: varying on intensity) I see a lot of potential in this game, and do not regret buying it at all, I recommend it to all my friends and anyone looking for a new kind of game.
