Incoming Evil

Length 20min ~ 30min Incoming Evil, is a Horror Exploration game, in which the player is sent to a house to investigate a murder and the summoning of a demon. All items in the game are easily found, nothing is too hidden, the player can also interact with most items in the game. The game has a few puzzles in which the player will need to find the code to open locks, all of the hints are easy to find. The texts the player picks up feels translated, at times things don’t flow or make grammatical sense. It does not hamper the story though it may bug you while playing. I found quite a few of the notes amusing in their badness, it felt like the developer was trying but things just came off wrong. Horror moments are limited, though a few decent moments in the game. There is only one technical jumpscare in the game. A lot of the horror points are a bit poorly placed and it was funny seeing them go off, especially when they rammed their face into the screen. The game does use enemy assets that have become very common, though this can be completely expected based on the release of the game. Overall I did find the game enjoyable to play, what helps most is that there are no points the game drags, the location is well used and the player has no difficulty finding everything. The game is generally bad, but it is in this quality I found the game entertaining for me. What helps most is that the game does not drag, which is one of the worst sins of horror games, or have a loop of key and door opening. At twenty minutes of gameplay it is the perfect length for what the game had to offer. Incoming Evil is a decent budget horror game, which has a nice mix of gameplay though could have used an editor to go over the texts. To be honest even now I have no idea what the story is, something about summoning a demon and sisters. Ich fand das Spiel von dem Intro her super interessant und auch die Story an sich schlüssig. Es gab schöne gruselige Momente und ein, zwei Jumpscares, aber ein großes Manko ist die Spielmechanik. Man sammelt eigentlich nur Schlüssel, um Türen zu öffnen, um Schlüssel zu sammeln. An einer Stelle kam ich einfach nicht weiter weil es nicht schlüssig für mich war. Die Atmosphäre war ganz gruselig aber das Ende war einfach nur seltsam und ich hab es nicht verstanden. Alles in Allem kann man es für den Preis echt spielen, aber man sollte nicht zu viel erwarten.
