Coming from IL-2 1946 I find the FM in Great Battles to be more forgiving, contrary to what I've read. I'm not sure it is because GB is more arcady or because it's control is smoother and more responsive, I find it easier to land and less likely to stall in. Perhaps 1946 simply has poor controls? Never flew in real life so I can't tell. I get it that Difficulty =/= Realism, or Ghost 'n Ghoul would be the most realistic game ever. Sometimes it just bad controls. As to the AI, yeah I think it sucks but at least it doesn't cheat like in 1946. I'm always wary of praises for game AI, because no game has anything close to "AI" in the modern sense. Usually it's just cheating (Alien: Isolation always know your location) or well scripted behavior pattern to trick you into believing that it is "thinking". Overall I'm glad that I bought GB and have not returned to 1946 ever since. Thinking of getting all the DLCs just to support the developers. ----- Can't get enough of this game after 40 hours of playtime. I just bought all the WWII aerial DLC except for those belonging to Odessa and Leningrad. Will wait for a bigger discount for them.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It is a good game, and quite fun to play and fly about in. Still, can't shake the feeling that it doesn't quite beat out 1946 in the long run. Oh well.

Geniales VR Erlebnis.
Great game although expensive for planes and can be difficult to get multiplayer running when wanting to just play yourself and a friend. However the game itself and the VR is an amazing experience. Many other players along with myself wish the "making a server for 1v1" was as easy to do as it is in DCS. Lesson to be learned here for the Developers of BOS. You make an amazing game but cannot make the setup simplified and easy to play alone with a friend. Come on man.....!
youre drunk if you think imma pay $200+ for this game
Can't play at all because "invalid license key" even though this was purchased through Steam and my account is linked through Steam. Waste of money.
