Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.86/day in the week to Aug 7 → 13.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A short 10/10 game. Want to have a comfy night dealing with extreme fear of heights? AND being pushed to make haste while doing so? Look no further. This is your game. Easy recommend. Worked great on controller. I agree with the sentiment that I would absolutely love to see an expanded version of this. Edit: finished the remix version of the campaign and and the bonus level with a harder difficulty. Got around 9 hours in till I got there. Great game. As some other steam review put it: starts as a good artsy horror game, and then you end up playing some of the best spiderman gameplay on repeat playthroughs as you learn the mechanics.
Developer. PLEASE MAKE THE HOLE DEEPER. Or give us a New area! What you made here is Awesome. I played it with my friend the couch and its a blast passing on a remote between 3 deaths (house rules). But after we were done, Im not looking forward to replaying the same level, my friend doesnt mind though. But Can you Please make another level?!

yeah its a good reverse climbing game with good physics, played this on my main rig but is also (relatively) playable on my old project pc
This is one of the best games I've played in a while. I was initially drawn to it for the environment/atmosphere and the concept of descending into darkness while being chased by a scary bug. But the grapple mechanic is so insanely satisfying and addictive once you really get the hang of it. The gameplay can be fast paced if you choose or if you keep going past the normal mode it'll become a requirement. The store page trailer doesn't do it justice. Difficulty scaling of the other modes/levels feels well done, and actually helped me get better at the game doing them in order. For $2.99, this is a steal
I did like the gameplay, going from platform to platform to hang onto & swing from was really fun and in some points everything gives an awe to look at & stare. What I DON'T like though is the constant feel that the game gives that urges you to go down as quickly as possible because of the centipedes, especially in First Kiln mode. The constant harassment by several centipedes & just by sheer length of the map made it less fun & incredibly annoying. I understand it's meant to be a challenge map but the parkour was already hard enough, 6+ centipedes just makes it outright frustrating. My fear of insects was both a crutch & a strength as it both made me want to get down faster and take risks just to avoid even hearing one. And the story I got after completing these maps really leave a bad taste in my stomach especially after what I had to do to get to it.
An excellent, short horror game that eventually loses the horror aspect but turns into an excellent platformer with unique movement tech. My only complaint is that there's no workshop or custom levels (yet, at least). But there are 3 levels with inverted variants and the last two are fairly long. Well worth the price!
fun and engaging
Idols of Ash is a very small game, but from its small span I can say- I've played a few different 'megastructure games', a few different 'climbing games' and a few different 'grappling hook games', and been diffusely let down by each of them. Idols of Ash gives me something I can finally point at and say, "this is what I'd been hoping for", but it also, far away, shows me, "oh, this is the tone and exploratory structure that Thief: The Dark Project was going for way back when, wasn't it? (This is what Dark Messiah of Might and Magic saw in Thief: The Dark Project, isn't it?)" Within its small span Idols of Ash has given me a moody experience, a nail-biting challenge, a better sense of other games I've been playing and a renewed appreciation for some of my favourite games. I highly recommend it. (I write this while still in 'grappling hook mode' - I'm a human-shaped pendulum dangling from a ledge of ancient stone. Help.)
I have been in a videogame slump for sometime, this game was exactly what the doctor ordered. Its a quick game with one idea. It really is easy to just jump into this game. Nothing bad to say at all. I only wish that I could play it again for the first time.
