I had some fun, but the game wasn't as "amazing" as some of the reviews claim. I played to the end, but I wish it had ended about an hour earlier. It became a little tedious during the last part and it seemed like they made the final tasks unnecessarily more difficult. Instead of it feeling like "yeah! I finally did it", it was more like "I'm glad that's over and I didn't enjoy it." That kind of sums up the end of the game for me. I am still giving it a thumbs up because the first half to 2/3's of the game were interesting.

Purely platforming, no enemies to fight, just progressing through the environment and uncovering recollections to piece together the narrative. Super chill 2 hour adventure.
The game adaptation of "9" that never released. Gorgeous PS2 style graphics, great atmosphere, and some really satisfying platforming mechanics.
This game is by no means bad, but I can't recommend it. What it has going for it: Good sound design A Unique mechanic An interesting vibe Passable platforming However the experience itself feels a bit hollow. The game is pretty on-rails, without much real challenge or sense of exploration. There's no real mystery to the world, and the "collectibles" you find that hint at a past world are groan-inducing. They fill nothing out about the world that the early "flashback" cutscenes you see don't already cover. Some traversal animations are too slow, and some cutscenes are overlong in the "legend of zelda" style of "look at this thing". I really wanted to like this game but it ends up being a bit tedious.
I didn't enjoy the gameplay, and the ledge grabbing was too jarring due to how magnetic you snap to them. Also, This game is infected by AAA cutscene style of pointlessly interrupt the gameplay to show you the new area. Don't worry I will look around! You don't have to take the control away!
This was an incredible single dev game here, the intentional retro mid 2000s style graphics is a really unique look to it, and this has some of the best platforming i have ever played in a game. its soundtrack was a great atmospheric layer to it all and its recollection story bits were interesting. This was a nice change of pace if someone wants a plate cleanser in the gaming backlog. I really hope that Charlie's next game does really well so he can start the own small studio and one day come back to Hypogea as the foundation is already here and I would love to see a expanded world of something like this. Worth the $10
Short and sweet atmospheric platformer. There's some really clever mechanics in here and the level design is tight and guides you towards your goals very naturally. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the levels and the robots are all very charming.
