Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Aug 26 → 16.86/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've spent thousands of hours playing Civ games and this one is good. It has many great ideas like changing your civ every era to give bonuses. Some the bonuses stack so mixing and matching every playthrough is great. The battles are better and more strategic, but they could of refined it. I like it more the Civ games, but I wished they tweaked a few things here and there to make it truly an all time great.
Slow and boring, not sure how this has mostly positive reviews.
It is a very interesting historical game.
I like it. It has carved out a name for itself in the 4X genre by just trying to be itself. Positive: Evolving (aka "culture swapping") I like it. Playing Humankind you are a rules who leads their people through time. As just like times change, so do you, your people evolve. So if you find out you are growing more than you are fighting, then in the next era you choose a culture that prioritizes that. It allows you to adept to what is happening and what you want to achieve. Does it bother me that you jump from one 'civilization' to another, unrelated one? No. Because people have always changed and so have cultures, each country is made up of many different cultures that merged to become one. Sure, my argument ignores geography but if you could only evolve into a nearby culture you either have no choice or need a hundred different to choose from. Tl;dr: Different cultures in each era allow you to adapt and customize. Stars/Era Score/Victory condition: I have a bit of mixed feelings about this. The positive thing is that no matter what victory path you take, you will be awarded stars that can help you win. The negative it kind of pushes towards just getting whatever star you can get, which means you don't always play the game the way you want it. Though I feel the system they use is the best compromise there is. It's either that or a seperate diplomacy, science, culture, domination victory and this is humankind after all, not that other game. Neutral: Turn-to-turn gameplay: Well, it pretty much plays like most other 4x games, little trouble adjusting. Graphics: Good Tutorials: Decent Diplomacy: Always a tricky one, as usual the AI is lacking some common sense. Not a big deal. Not so sure about/Negative: The battle system: When 2 armies meet you go into a turn based, tiled based combat screen. It's more realistic, it adds more depth but it can also take quite a while. Luckily if you're in a rush, impatient or just can't be bothered(like me sometimes), you can use auto-resolve and that works fine too. The visual look: I'm not sure, it looks colourful but it still feels a bit..flat, the terrain doesn't "pop" enough and I don't want to zoom in all the way to enjoy it. Furthermore I find it hard at times to identify...anything visually, like for example what districts is on a tile. Independent people: More of a nuisance. They roam around and get in the way. They disappear over time but that means 1: they disappear a bit too fast for you to want to invest in, but 2: they disappear too slow if you plan to expand in their direction.
Not a high bar but it's better than Civ 7. Feels weirdly unbalanced and the popups can be annoying sometimes. It is fun, however.
better than mixed reviews thats for sure
My favourite 4x game by far. I don't have many hours of gameplay just because I played way too much strategy games and I need a break lol (the only 4x game I haven't played is hoi4 so yeah....) the only one I wouldn't reccommend this game to is someone who realy prefers complicated games like europa universalis 4 or let's say hoi4/ maybe stellaris? I would say that only people who really dislike this empire building genre will dislike it but I doubt they will regret buying it especially on a discount.
