HumanitZ is an isometric, open-world sandbox survival game set in a world ended by a zombie outbreak. Survive alone or with friends by scavenging, crafting, building, and fighting to last as long as ‘humanly’ possible. You can’t change the past, but you can fight for the future of humanity.

HumanitZ is a fun survival game, especially when playing PvE. Exploring, gathering resources, building you base, and surviving agianst the environment can be a lot of fun. The Pve experience is probably my favorite part of the game and can keep you coming back for more. Unfortunately, the PvP side has been a much more frustrating experience. Running into players who appear to be cheating or exploiting glitches, especially players glitching into bases, can really ruin the experience. Spending time building a fortress and protecting a base only to have someone bypass the defenses through an exploit takes away a lot of the fun and motivation to play PvP. Pros: -Fun and enjoyable Pve gameplay -Exploring and building are rewarding -Good survival experience Cons: -Pvp can be frustrating -Cheaters/exploiters can ruin the game -Players glitching into bases is a major issue Overall, I enjoyed Humanitz and think the Pve experience is a lot of fun. However, Pvp needs stronger anti'cheat measures and better protection against exploits. If those issues are addressed, the game could be much better experience for Pvp players.
-Dropping held items on the ground when the backpack is full is absolutely bonkers. -Inability to pick up backpacks from the ground and into your backpack. -Zeeks and animals can walk under water; you can't walk under water. -Cursor in winter is terrible, no matter what color or size you pick. -You can build storage containers on top of each other; good luck opening them afterwards. These are few things that bother me among many, and some are "expecting fixes/changes" for years now if you check the discussion threads on Steam. While I have nothing against these types of issues while games are in early access, this isn't in early access anymore, and it definitely should be.
Weird when a bad dev shoots themselves in the foot.
Worse version of Zomboid
getting teleported back every few minutes on official servers while having 40 ping
I just didn't have fun with it. Almost immediately lost all interest and found the game to be frustrating to even work past the very beginning of the game. Not sure how long it takes to get to the cool stuff shown in the trailers, but I didn't see any of it. 4/10
This game is fun for what it is. It is definitely one of the better zombie games in terms of crafting, survival, exploration, and even combat. I have found in my short two hours of exploring a couple of farms and a neighborhood that loot is neither plentiful nor scarce, zombies are around enough to be trouble but not yet a major concern, and the mechanics make sense. The camera angle isn't my favorite, but seems to be something I could get used to. I do find it odd (not really an isometric guy) that I can only see like 20 feet in front of me, which in a zombie game I find visibility to be one of the more important aspects of survival. Worth it on sale.
