If you have already have the original game then I would stick with it. This remaster has so many weird visual bugs, and the lighting is so overdone that it feels like the sun is exploding. I also hate the Smoth Family.
As an huge fan of HF 1 and HF2 i was extremely excited for this game as HF1 was my fav. Unfortunately in the games current state I do not recommend that you buy this game for this price. I have tried everyday to play this game but the constant crashing and the inability to even load the game up are extremely frustrating, I have minimized my workshop items to almost nothing (which took hours) and there was no difference at all. The game takes about 10 min to start (if you're lucky) then might crash as you load into your office. the workshop items don't even appear in game. 97% of the time the game will crash and close after waiting 10 minutes loading the game after you have to prompt task manager to figure out if it is even running. Before this horrendous update in June that completely made this game unplayable it was already extremely laggy and full of bugs. If you are a fan of House Flipper at least wait for these issues to be fixed. It does seem like every new update is not really fixing the core problem even though the developers are saying it is. I'm not a developer and i apologize for my ignorance when it comes to this type of stuff. But saying a game is working and that they fixed something that clearly wasn't fixed is strange in any profession. I understand they are busy. But they need to understand i paid real money for this product that is not being delivered in its promised state. Wish i could have left a positive review, but i don't want others wasting there money and time at least until these issues are resolved. I bought this game day one which was massive mistake

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Better off just getting the original. The Remastered has more bugs and glitches. Plays terrible. Not worth it at all.
Prefacing this with the fact that I've played House Flipper and all of its DLC to the point I've obtained the Perfectionist achievement. It's a game I genuinely enjoy that allows me to do things I cannot economically nor physically do in real life (maybe someday, am I right, fellow American 20-somethings?). I'm currently finished with the base-game missions & working my way through the DLC missions. As I understand, Frozen Way is consistently working on patches to improve the game performance. With that in mind! This remaster is MUCH buggier than the original. I've had issues with menus not dismissing, furniture pushing me out of bounds, lighting engine difficulties, and textural hiccups. Each bug I've experienced has been reported - but I'd like to let people know that MAYBE they'd like to wait for a more stable version at the current price tag. I was able to run both House Flipper & House Flipper 2 on my current build without issue, but something about this remaster pushes the 3D rendering elements of my GPU to 75% to 80% even at medium settings, and the lighting - even when I turn the lights off behind me - tends to flicker after a specific amount of time, rendering the flashlight useless when working at night. While I would gladly attribute this to my older hardware, I was able to run the prior entries of this game without issue, and each patch I'm hoping things improve. I'll gladly edit this review once things stabilize, either through work from Frozen Way, or my own troubleshooting.
Oh that's right. I did not like the original. I forgot about that. They remastered the game and did not fix all the terrible parts. I don't want to assemble radiators over and over and over again. The buyers are impossible to please. You have to pay to reject the offers so you either get it all right the first time or you lose. It is glitchy and the tools are still annoying. This was an opportunity to improve the game. The new jobs and houses are the only things that got better but flipping the houses isn't fun at all with these buyers.
I’m really disappointed because the game is so buggy and unplayable with a controller. As soon as you load a job or a house and try to move around, the movement is so sensitive that you end up walking straight into walls; sometimes it lags so badly that I can't move at all. To get it working, I have to go into the graphics menu, change the quality from "Ultra High" to "High," and then switch it back to "Ultra High." It’s incredibly annoying having to do this every time I load a house or a job. I’ve tested it with a keyboard and it works fine, but the moment I use a controller, I can't move around properly.
What really annoys me quite a lot is that the developers dare to put out the same game with EXACTLY the same (partly game breaking) bugs that were reported over and over again and ignored in favour of selling HF2, for double the price of the original game. For those original players: they didn't fix any of the things you raised. For new players: don't waste your money.
I am a longtime fan of the series. I’ve enjoyed HF1, HF2, and all the DLC, and House Flipper Remastered does a great job of combining some of the best elements of both games. The renovated toolkit is really freaking nice. The tools feel smoother, more intuitive, and much better to use, while still retaining what I loved about the original game. The addition of actual building construction is especially nice. Instead of being limited to the original structure, I set up my starter plot with three tiny homes rather than just the one. That added freedom opens up a lot of creative possibilities and gives me considerably more to do with each property. My one real complaint is the lighting. During the environment’s dusk and dawn phases, it can get seriously wonky. The colors become distorted, and the lighting flickers in ways that are distracting and clearly not intentional. The developers have made improvements, so I know they’re actively working on it, but they still seem to be struggling to get it fixed correctly. There are also a few HF2 features I would love to see added, particularly co-op and the helper tool assigned to “Q.” I’m looking forward to Workshop support as well because community-created content added so much variety and longevity to HF1. Right now, Remastered is still getting there, but it is much more than the same game with prettier graphics. It meaningfully improves the tools, expands what we can build, and gives longtime players new ways to renovate and create.
Pile of garbage. Instead of fixing bugs from the original or improving things mechanics wise/adding more quality of life they acutally managed to add new bugs ....
