Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is the brutal conclusion to the Hotline Miami saga, set against a backdrop of escalating violence and retribution over spilled blood in the original game.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 19.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Everything good and bad about the last game is cranked to 11 in the sequel, mostly to its detriment. It's worth a try, but your mileage may vary. 5/10 + Music's awesome. + Gameplay is mostly unchanged from the first game, aside from the specialty missions. = Higher difficulty than first game. - Quantity over quality level design. Excessive window spam. Huge levels means you're holding down shift to avoid getting shot by an offscreen enemy. The edges of levels distort your aim by unlocking the player from the center of the screen, which happens a lot. - Questionable design choices like the soldier missions with limited ammo, which are a slog to get through and were clearly designed with standard gameplay in mind. All the cool character abilities are rarely used in the main story. - Speaking of the story, it sucks. Again quantity over quality with a bunch of characters with storylines that go nowhere.
And they all die by nuke anyways, so who cares? The ending was such a letdown compared to HLM1.
Сам прошёл на 100%. Никому не советую
The first Hotline Miami was very enjoyable. Weird, trippy story, action-heavy gameplay, not much unnecessary clutter, little frustration potential. With this second one, the developers pretty much made everything worse. They added a story that is so fractured and pointless that I never even bothered to care. They added missions that you are forced to play on a certain way, stripped from all the stuff that made the first game fun to play. They made lots of the levels so long and frustrating that it drains all the fun. Huge open spaces that will get you killed from enemies walking offscreen or even hidden below overlaid decorative stuff. Most maps feature glass panels everywhere. They managed to make the controls WORSE. Your mouse control gets distorted at the boders of the map, whoch will cause you to miss important shots. There are also lots of instances where your bullets get caught by doorways and walls, while it looks like you are already standing in the open. I had lots of fun in the first game with dying again and again, because you always managed to get a bit better and and further. But in this game, it's just frustrating, because the levels tend to be extremely unforgiving and all the issues explained above will cause you to fail again and again. This isn't fun for me. I'm towards the end of the story missions right now. No idea of I manage to finish the game. I got the game pretty cheap, so I won't complain, but... yeah.. no recommendation.
Compared to the first one this sequel is horrible, I only play it through because of how I respect the first one. Bugs, horrible ai (especially on those twins), horrible camera, lack of customisation options (Like I can count on one hand how many missions did you get to use masks), boring gunplay and less weapons and masks too than the first. The story tries to act like it's a big shot while sacrificing all other gameplay elements, but even that fall flat with very forgettable characters and mostly missions where you are forced to not carry a gun or carry a gun that runs out of ammo so fast that you can't even use it in most of the times, because you have to reserve it for big enemies.
Игра о том, как глава русской мафии под интересные приколы разносит каких-то фанатов, фанатеющих по персонажу из первой части
Honestly,it's one of the best top-down games I played While the story seems insignificant to the gameplay,it's actually very nice to study The gameplay,to me,was a high-octane cocaine snorted fever dream of ultraviolence mixed with wrath at dying. But GODCAT DAMN is the gameplay loop FUN. If you love fast paced, cocaine induced violence dream and just want to bash people's heads in,definitely pick up this game. Both HM1 and 2 are worth their price
