A pretty nice change from the unleashed formula. Could use a sequel tho that improves on the formula, so I hope this does reasonably well.

I bought this game on release date for full price to play with my 5 year old son. We are playing it non stop and we are having a BLAST! We played Unleashed + Unleashed 2 before but this one is unique in a lot of different ways. People say it's generic and greedy or grindy... I would beg to differ! This game is awesome in every single way!! If you have a kid and it likes Hot Wheels this is a MUST BUY! There is a LOOOOOT of cars in it and super fun events to collect them. The islands are great. I bought the basic edition and I don't feel like I'm missing out at all. I will buy the ultimate edition later, but I don't feel it's necessary. People say it's easy and I can see that being true. But it's easy in a fun way and for my son it's actually better this way. We play with all the assists the game has to offer and it works. The Steer assist in the previous games were better, though. But this one is an open world game, so I forgive it lol I love seeing my sons reaction when a daredevil shows up, or when he sees a car he actually owns. He shouts out the names of the cars before the text even appears!! It's really great to see the nostalgia!! The game feel great, each car does feel unique, There is a car for everyone. The maps are SUPER unique, everything is build with much love and detail. I'm glad they took out the jump btn from Unleashed 2, I thought it was a little annoying there. The music and sound is top notch! The lsat 4th map has a killer soundtrack. There are secret things to find. i will not spoil it, but after you unlock all the islands and defeated the first bosses you will see that there are actually a lot of secrets to unravel. This was a pleasent surprise, I didn't know that. I can't recommend this game enough. I did encounter bugs, but it's all forgivable. I play on 2 different controllers (8 bit do ultimate 2c + dual sense 5 from the ps5). Both controllers work great. Totally worth the money, at least in my case. I don't understand why people complain, this is more than I thought this would be. Very well done, this was good decision.
This game is so fun :D
Really really fun, just good racing and car collecting fun. its basically Forza Horizon but with Hotwheels cars. as someone who loved hotwheels as a kid and had way too many of them, this game feels like living my childhood playing with my hotwheels how i imagined it in my head lol. its very fun to just explore the 4 open world islands and collect all the cars. the 4 islands also have very distinct and visually pleasing environments. also the progression to unlocking new cars and upgrades and new activities and areas is pretty quick and so far does not feel like a grind. really enjoying and happy with this and the fact it also runs great for me!
i just wanted a more simple open word driving game, its pretty good, get it on sale.
Agreeing with others. It's not a bad game but it's not super interesting. It's game that lets you drive around in hot wheels cars, that's about it. The races are pretty boring and the events range from something actually requiring skill to "take a picture of this thing". I would recommend waiting for a sale, this doesn't justify a £45 price tag.
