Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Hot Lap Racing is simcade, that most lean to arcade, track racing game and its feels like what Project Cars 3 want to be but its poorly execute. On the positive side the career mode has good progression system, the car models and tracks look good and the sounds are decent it. The is a great variety of modern and historic motorsport cars. On the neutral side the handling is good enough. On the negative side well first of all the AI is terrible. They are slow even on the hardest difficulty so once you overtake them is a cruise to the finish line but its very frustrating to get there. First of all the the really want to follow the racing line and will to everything to get you out of their way so its really hard to go side and its make it even worse when the push you even the slightest off track which slow down the car even if the off track section is asphalt. Second the crash into the barrier or themselves pretty often causing massive pile up which are hard to navigate through and the inconsistent collision physics don't make it any better. Both the barriers and sausage curbs will sometime stop the car like it hit a brick wall, other time they will violate make the car bounce back like a spring and other times they will send you flying. Now of course the game has optional Qualification before the race so you will think that qualify in first place and cruise to finish line will be the best strategy well you are wrong. During the race the moment the lights go off the car no longer revs on the Neutral gear so you have to start from idle revs in first gear giving a decent chance to get rear end and spin out and its get worse if you are using manual gearing because there is small delay before the game accept your input increase the chance of getting rear end. Performance is also a mix bag. I'm getting a fluctuating 60-90 fps with some drops below 60 will on the CPU graph a single thread is at 90% usage while the rest are at 20-30% indicating that this is a single thread game in 2024 which is unacceptable.

Satisfying driving physics but horrible AI opponents. Game has been abandoned by the devs, but in a good state at least.
I do enjoy the hud, and other aspects of this game. If the Ai can get fleshed out then it would be a really fun game. Right now they just run a rail and no bars given just rear end you if you are in that rail lane. It's like no awareness of you being there. Wait for a sale.
Bon jeu de course auto. Différent de ce qui se trouve actuellement sur les stores. Bon jeu indé à préciser. Malheureusement trop rare de nos jours. Un vrai plaisir. MAJ nombreuses montrant une équipe réactive et investie
For $30, this game is a waste of money and time. For $5, I guess the game is only a waste of time. For a switch game using the Unity engine, the optimization is not great. I think there is something with either the anti-aliasing or one of the specific graphics options that just tanks performance. On a mid range gaming pc its not that bad, but this is a big issue for the steam deck as it cannot maintain a solid 60 fps on the lowest settings. This is with lots fluctuating gpu/cpu usage that never reaches 100% and this is true for both the steam deck and my gaming pc. The gameplay is pretty basic. You have a very simple career mode where you do championships with various car classes and depending how well you place and how well you drive in a certain championship, you will receive a rating that determines the license you get for that championship. Apart from netting you more xp, I haven't seen any other use for the rating system. Apart from career, there is a "hot lap" mode which is just time attack and a multiplayer that is BROKEN except for local play. You can still earn the multiplayer achievement in local splitscreen, just know that if you wanted to play multiplayer, the other players will have to be sitting on the couch next to you. I think the car handling/physics are the strongest part of this game, but that really isn't saying much. The handling is ok with varied handling models across all the different cars, but the physics are heavily leaning on the arcade side if you wanted to call this game a simcade. There is no car damage in the game at least from what I can tell. In conclusion, if you need to burn time and you want to play a racing game where you could also listen to a yt vid or podcast at the same time and you can buy the game for under $10, I'd say maybe I'd recommend.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the crib driving the Fred GT best PS2 game of 2024, detail is a little sparse but it's got charm and the devs clearly had fun making it so that's good enough for me also yeah they weren't kidding, music goes hard
3/10 car go fast another racing game where its better to hit the corner at MAX speed with the respawn already prepped and timed perfectly so it drops you on the track after the turn penalized all over the place for hitting other cars
Ultra fun !!!!
