About
The game
Horror Story: Hallowseed is a single-player story-driven psychological horror adventure game that takes place in the fictional location, Hallowseed. Viewed from a first-person perspective, the beautifully rendered environment not only contains various puzzles but is also controlled by an advanced AI that reacts to the player’s choices and actions, activating random scare events.

The story
You were camping in the woods with two friends when an obscure event caused you to lose consciousness and wake up alone in an unknown, strange place. Explore your surroundings, look for clues in mysterious locations, run and hide from the dark spirits awakened by your presence. Do your best to survive, find your friends and uncover the mysteries hidden deep within Hallowseed – a place forgotten by time, damned and gripped by mysterious demonic terror!
Key Features:
Rich story - The player is driven by the story of a village whose inhabitants were seduced by an obscure power and condemned to darkness. While seeking to save his friends, the protagonist, Michael, will uncover what role he plays in all this tragedy.
Tense atmosphere - Immersive sound design and stunning visuals that will always keep you on your toes.
Micro-scares system - A system of random scary events that activate based on how you interact with the environment and will make you jump from your chair (or couch). Try different playthroughs with different choices to experience different scares!
Inspired by Horror Movie Classics - Insidious, The Conjuring and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
Hallowseed is the first chapter in the Horror Story series by Jeff Winner, stay tuned for more!

Reviews
A little bit Evil Dead, and little bit The Exorcist. I really enjoined it.
This is not a game, it is a walking simulator with jump scares, Also no puzzle no story nothing.

First off $20 for this game is insane. Def wait for a sale. Second I have a pretty nice computer and the stutters in this game are horrible. Decent game tho if you get if for under $5. Even still I was very happy it was over lol.
This game is actually short to finish, but what funny that need many hours to play? First, the key. I took almost like 3 hours to find key, makes me wondering is this horror games or find hidden item?? Please make the keys more visible to found. Okay, the demon plus auto save. The best combo ever, *demon suddenly pop out and instant kill even without giving any chance for player to escape. After i get load to cave that request me to find paper. Okay after i finish and when out cave, it now shows auto save icon. It turn out that previous i already out this cave but there was no auto save, so i keep going and get *demon kill. Yup, after out cave it SHOULD have auto save but it gone, makes me i need collect paper and watch cutscene that CANNOT BE SKIP ONE MORE TIME.. So yup, now the one of good for this game, graphic kind the okay.. The story just okay and bored same time. But i don't blame it since this game is developed by one person already good, so if u willingly to play, buy it on discounted. That all. btw mouse sensitivity is little slow, make it higher.
Perfeito
game bricked on me. monster spawns in wrong spot. tried to reinstall the game and still same issue. please avoid this game at all cost. i never write a review and this is my first one, which should tell you how upset i am at this game.
Gostei muito do jogo, ambientação legal e ótima gameplay. Recomendo.
If you took the story out of this game and made it into a novel/novella, I believe you could have a really solid product here. As a video game, though, unfortunately, I could not recommend this to my friends. The biggest problem for me was the constant up-and-down of the camera while the main character walked and ran...I had to play this game in two different sittings because basic movement in this game gives me motion sickness. I have played horror video games my entire life, and never once has any of them given me the motion sickness this game did. It was hard to appreciate the story when I was feeling nauseous. The enemy spawns are also awful. They aren't scary at all, and they spawn so close to the player that they are impossible to dodge if you don't know they are coming. The seven pages search was also a hard to take seriously; Slender did the page-search task the best, and every version of it created in the hundreds of video games since feel like a lazy knockoff at best. If proper character development occurred and if the gameplay was more refined, I could give this game a thumbs up. In it's current state, however, I cannot. Maybe I'll revisit this game after a few updates and see if I could change my review.
