About
The mission is straightforward: head out across the ice, visit a series of decommissioned research sites, and recover old survey data on the region's habitability. The previous team already did the hard work. You're just picking up what they left.
Except the instruments show things that don't add up. The stars aren't quite right. And there is no one left to ask why. Whatever happened here, the snow hasn't buried all of it.
ARPC reminds you not to leave the mission area.
ARPC has issued you a retrofitted Antarctic off-road vehicle. Outfitted with a mechanical arm and vital instrumentation, it's the only thing standing between you and the cold.
Balance fuel, heat, and power usage to keep both you and your vehicle operational.
A vast open Antarctic snowscape with stations to explore
Vehicle-driven survival where rationing fuel and managing temperature is essential.
Navigate using your vehicle's onboard instrumentation and use it's mechanical arm to interact with the environment
Horror built on atmosphere and paranoia.
A short experience intended to be finished in under two hours

Very much an unconventional horror with few if any cliche moments. The real scares come from how eerie the environment is and how you know you're all alone but sometimes not so sure about it. Gameplay wise it can be a bit tedious at times and it is very easy to get lost and go over a cliff a couple times ( probably intentionally) but once you get the hang of things it stops being annoying and starts really getting fun. Overall a nice quick game that left me with a good time.
I enjoyed the vibe of the game! It had a wonderful vibe that had me constantly tense about something jumping out around every corner. It had a very cohesive style that all came together. There were a few areas however, where it felt a bit tedious at times (such as when rationing fuel to get through certain tunnels or when I realized a VERY important item was left somewhere else on the map and I had a lot of backtracking to do ; the save system made it more bearable though). There were also other areas where I took the risk of exploring them but it turns out there wasn't really much to do - no easter egg or anything (such as `the relay`). Unless I missed something which I easily could've. Another really small, but vital thing was that the game doesn't tell you dropping items is a thing. Knowing items could be used like that would've greatly improved my experience of the game. Overall though, the cons are far exceeded by the pros. A wonderful experience worth the price.

super creepy game. I love the atmosphere
There is a VENT on the outside of the engine......
Awesome short atmospheric game! I'm glad the developer made some updates to add save slots.
good atmosphere good sounds i wish there were more to explore
Overall, fun game and great atmosphere. The driving and mechanics take a bit to get used to and I drove around lost a lot at first, but once you put it all together (fuel preservation, compass, map, overheating, etc.) it becomes much easier. The objectives and puzzles were challenging and fun to solve and the story helped to add to the mystery of where you were and what you were doing. A little buggy in certain areas, with some random clipping and loss of objects; I had to restart and hold the key card in my inventory as it got lost in a previous play (where I had set it down in the vehicle).
I like the premise. I think it's a neat environment and everything. But you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see anything. And I don't mean the blizzard, that's understandable. I'm talking about the segments of the game where you're expected to roam around in the dark with a red light bulb that illuminates about as much space as the backside of the moon. What makes it worse is, these sections are also inside a damn labyrinth for whatever reason, where you're expected to roam around and find both an exit, door, objects like
Solvent
, etc. All while navigating around terrain that you keep bumping into walls, furniture and getting stuck trying to figure out where you're meant to go. And the thing is, YOU HAVE A FLASHLIGHT. IT JUST FOR SOME REASON STOPS WORKING THE MOMENT YOU ENTER A DARK AREA. AKA, THE ONE PLACE YOU'D SPECIFICALLY WANT TO USE A DAMN FLASHLIGHT. Again. The environments neat, I like the concept, hell I like the whole thing of slowly travelling around with the atmosphere of the game not knowing what's out there, whether you're hallucinating sounds or if there's actually something else in the blizzard too. Game does great on that front. But I just can't recommend it solely because of the above. Also no idea how you're meant to
get past the tunnel. Obviously there's the little passage around the side meant for a tense traversal around close to a cliffs edge, but there's literally no path I could find to get the rover along it without falling into the abyss. Dunno if I'm just a bad gamer on that front but I also tried just legging it on foot with the keycard, made it to the bunker area. And that is where once again the issue comes up of, YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING WHILE ALSO FREEZING TO DEATH-
Good game! Good job!
Well, while it has its weaknesses, I decided to give it a thumbs up. But it was close. What to expect: You are in an arctic-like cold dark environment. Completely alone, you and your vehicle. All thats between you and death by the harsh environment is your vehicle and the fuel in its tank. The tasks/quests themselves are straigthforward, you drive from point to point, navigating with your map, gathering stuff, repairing stuff, and so on. Pros: The atmosphere. I just like the atmosphere of being alone, in the dark. Trying to survive. And what I *really* appreciate is, that there is no strange "mystery-threat" or "monster from outer worlds" or silly cheap jumpscares, no, the danger is to freeze to death, the danger is to lose orientation, get lost, run out of fuel. So - for me - that feels so much more 'immersive' and 'real' than the 10th "super dangerous monster hunting you" oder "a higher supernatural power"-nonsense. A good atmosphere is all you need. I really like it. Cons: Bugs and Gameplay. I had several bugs which were quite annoying. I got stuck in an invisible whatever and couldnt move - had to reload. My vehicle got stuck and couldnt move but I also could not get outside to look why or what happened - had to reload. A door/cabinet was bugged so I couldnt open it - had to reload. And Gameplay has its... quirks. I understand that the fuel consumption is at such immense rates for gameplay reasons, but it just feels off and reduces the immersion. Same for the overheating-stuff. Get it, its for gameplay but it just feels unealistic or somewhat immersion-breaking. Why would someone build such a mess of a vehicle... I just think there could have been better ways of introducing shortage, pressure and so on than by introducing some strange (and somewhat nonsense)-limitation of your vehicle like a range of only several 100m... (like - just an naive thought - instead of a strange motor-overheating, having only limited electrical power, so you can use not all equipment at once or for a long time, because it will drain your battery or whatever.) So overall... I like the idea, I like the concept, I like the atmosphere. But the implementation (regarding technical state and gameplay) is not on the same level. Despite that, I give it a thumbs up - not least to avoid discouraging the developer. I want more games like this - next time with the same atmosphere and concept but even better game mechanics ;)
