This was in my wishlist for years and it turns out it LOOKS way more fun than it actually is
this UX doesn't justify the intensity of the game. game doesn't have a single panel for what weapons you have. yet a single mistake makes you restart your campaign. how am I supposed to plan if I have no idea which of my ships have aams. I only learned about different ammo types in my 4th playthrough (believe me I tried to like this game, setting and idea are very cool tbh). I played on the easy difficulty but it only makes the combat easier. real difficulty is in understanding the strategic map, and even if you savescum, you need to redo hours of gameplay you already did because game takes very long to give you any feedback for your actions. which makes learning very hard. I was just too stubborn to drop the game; constant restarts, savescums, reading wikis etc. but I gotta admit this game is not worthwhile, at some point becomes just a waste of time. also one core concept of the game bothers me is: the ideal strategy is about being patient. you don't have any hurry and the optimal strategy is to just do nothing most of the time. which makes it very boring. I wanted to be proactive, but game punishes you for that. while the story keeps talking about some kind of urgency, game doesn't reward you if you are rushing or going fast.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Such a pain in the ass to play on linux, but once you get it working, the game is actually awsome!
Unfinished and abandoned piece of crap game. I bought it because I was blinded by the reputation MicroProse had in the old days. My playtime is from before the 1.161 update that broke default ships and whatnot. Just take a look at the "Changelog" thread for this update. Not even a changelog at all..."Huge amount of bugfixes and rebalance" lol. Rebalanced the game to ♥♥♥♥ and then left. I waited for more updates to fix those issues but those never came. How this is still able to get very positive reviews is beyond me.
This game is for unemployed, no family people. It has some things going for it but has two major flaws that make it actually unplayable for me - an adult father. 1. it only autosaves after indeterminate play periods seeming like they're at least an hour. Right there makes it not a game for me but another job. 2. You only deploy 1 ship at a time - at least as far as I got in the intro - which seems to take out 95% of what would be strategy. So it devolves into a high skill point and shoot. Hard pass from me, Recommend to no job, no family theme lovers.
I really wish I could like this game. The world building is awesome, the systems look cool. But the difficulty curve is just too punishing. Unless you are willing to invest dozens of hours in getting good and testing out meta strategies you will just get rolled over constantly. If you get spotted by a strike group, just restart a new campaign. Miss the silent strike ? Restart. Anything that goes wrong, restart.
This one does not spark joy. It's great that this game have hit zone air combat with destructible ships, BUT everything is so zoomed out all I see are dots in like 30% of my screen. Why? Why are we fighting multiple enemies by launching one ship at a time at them? It's just floating ball physics with some simple simulated ballistics. Was it really that hard to program an AI to control the other ships? Why land one ship at a time EVERY time? This gets tedious after like the second city. Devs did you play your own game??? Why do I care if one of my ships repairs 5% faster and the other 10%? I'm not leaving without all of them repaired so it might as well be 5 across the board. This particular mechanic makes no sense at all.
