Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Disclaimer: The stats say I've only played it for a little over an hour because most of my playthrough has been offline and it just recorded my online playing time, which seems to be a thing on Steam. Now, on to the actual review. I did finish the whole game. Never heard of this game until I found it in my recommendations and since it had good reviews and was on sale for like three bucks I figured what the hell. So glad I did. It's a solid and fun JRPG that kept me entertained with an engaging story and a familiar feel reminiscent of games I'd played as a kid. This past year I played great retro games like Octopath Traveler II and Chained Echoes and, though this one doesn't have the same production values and is much more modest in presentation, I still had roughly as much fun as with those two, which was much more than I expected from an unknown game that cost me the same as a nice beer. My only gripes are that apparently at some point the character portraits were redesigned to look better but a few side characters here and there retained the original portraits and it clashes with the rest because the art style is a bit different, and I also saw a couple of typos or spelling errors in the dialogue. But since I'm from the generation that had to use our imagination to tell that the pixels you were controlling onscreen were supposed to be a spaceship or whatever and later played a ton of NES games with "all your bases are belong to us" level translations, I can live with those minor complaints. I played it on my Steam Deck and it ran with zero issues and without needing any extra configurations except some minor tweaking of the game pad in the Options menu.

Extremely good game. Story: It starts of with the protagonist on a job that leads to their deaths, but they'd eventually meet two others. And before they knew it, they were getting wrapped up in a millenia old war. This is a long game. It takes the time to expand on all main characters through side quests and the main quest. Madyln who was once part of the order, that have a hand in the current events. She grew up without a family, and is genunily a good person. Hiro, after losing his father, much of his time is seeking revenge. Though, as he grew he learned from Madyln and the rest. Winter, a person who ran away from an abusive home. Though, because of Madyln, she ends up reconciling with her mother who truly did love her. Davos, the hero. He lost his wife, and held a deep hatred for humanity. Despite this, he chose to seclude himself. He made many decision, did much wrong, but he as well ends up moving forward. Each character ties into one another very well, and their dynamic is excellent. It is a story with much tragedy, but also much joy. System: It uses the RPGmaker defaults for the system. However, it was pretty well thought out how to use it. If anything, the game needed a bit more balance. Near the end of the game though, the protagonist gets quite an upgrade. Art Style: Some are definitely unique, and it is amazing. Music: Amazing. Side Quests: Quite a bit and totally worth doing. Other System: There is fishing late game. Problem Area: High encounter rates. They give you an option to use an Assist Mode to get an item to avoid encounters at the cost of trophies. I just edited the file. Upload save file to the save editor. --> Click the middle option at the bottom to switch tabs. --> Click armor. --> Right before the @c. Type exactly "136":1.0, Yes, the comma as well. This will put the avoid encounter accessory in your inventory. Overall: Extremely good game, and I'd highly recommend playing it. RPGmaker games being this good is rare.
A really really good game. It clearly had effort put into it. The story and characters are great. The writing is unique. There were points where I thought I knew what a character's backstory was or what would happen to them only to be blindsided with something I didn't expect and that elevated the character's story above and beyond. There are times where the game gets tedious and the encounters become annoying but it is so worth it when you reach the ending of the game. The story was really engaging and heartfelt, it made me feel sad for these characters and happy for them too, by the end of the story I couldn't help but have a smile on my face. I look forward to whatever this developer makes in the future, it will probably be a day one buy for me.
Wasn't sure what to expect. But I was overly delighted with the character designs and interactions. The final boss took me two try's to beat, you'll find out why. I do wish there were a few more love moments in this or more doubt from the female lead, but it is what it is. The first thing I felt was Lunar, might of been a nice touch to have the characters follow behind you. Also wish I could switch main lead (never figured it out). I was happily disappointed in some outcomes and the ending scenes had a very much Suikoden feel to them. Though I did like Hiro, his face panel looked like he was on crack most of the time. At first Davos was my favorite but didn't hit 50 for those ending skills, (grinding is not friendly in this game) so around 33 Winter became my bread winner in 98% of fights. Sidequests where very enjoyable and I liked how they played out in the game throughout. The only thing I was bummed about was no sword weapon ever made Hiro feel powerful and his buffs felt like they little to nothing as well as debuffs. Honestly the females carried this game in both healing and dps. I think my only drawback to this game- RPG maker is a dime a dozen. I fell like devs try very hard to make an overly used graphic engine feel unique and enjoyable, in which I know using higher end engines like unity take effort, it would be nice to see a lot of these rpg maker games remade into higher quality. Honestly if someone could make an RPG with an art design like Lunar or even ff6, I would buy it in a heart beat. Which some have and I gladly own them. In the end, 8/10 mainly because i'm tired of chibi rpg maker.
Overall, the game isn't bad, I'd say it's solidly mid. But better than most RTP games that I see. RTP stands for "run time package" and it basically refers to the default assets that come bundled with the RPG Maker Engine. Good Points: 1. Storytelling/Plot was decent, especially during the narrative scenes. 2. Characters were ok, I liked Winter. 3. Some of the side-quests were simple but also not bad. Weak Points: 1. Graphics/Assets are basically what come bundled with the engine for the most part, and I've seen it a million times. Some of the more custom stuff and the AI art was a lot better in this game, do more of that. 2. The music/sound effects/knock knock noise, standard RPG Maker stuff you see in just about every game for some reason. There's lots of free music and sound effects out there, break out of the box of using what comes with the game engine. 3. Encounter Rate too high, too many status effects. Economy is expensive in this game, so the way I got through was by staying near the cave entrance, fight some enemies, sleep at the inn, start over, repeat, as I was not able to afford anti-poison meds in the beginning of the game. 4. If you're on any monitor that is above 60hz, you'll get inaccurate playtime. There's a plugin called "Accurate Playtime" which will make the gameplay time accurate when saving. Heroes of Spyria is very rare gem in the world of jrpgs, and has one of the best storylines of games I've played along with character development. You actually get invested in the storyline and the choices you get to make in the game are quite fun. Yes, this is a game where grinding is rewarded! (I'm a bit of a rarity in jrpgs in that area nowadays it seems.) I personally did not think the mobs were too much and I had a lot of fun getting my characters up to par to meet the challenges that the game presented in terms of enemies. And I loved that in addition to store bought items, there were higher level items that you could find in treasure chests. The voice acting for the characters was a special touch, I haven't had that in a jrpg before. In short, I loved this game. If you like character development, great and at times quite touching storylines, with rewarding grinding sprees, this is the game for you.
The random encounter rate is ridiculous but what is even worse is the combat in those. Here is a common scenario. Random encounter, all monsters have a turn before you get to act, they CC your entire party and its a wipe without you ever having a turn. It is completely moronic. Every single enemy has some sort of special effect they can apply. Poison, paralyze, silence etc. How smooth an encounter goes is simply luck. If they CC your healer and best dps? Have fun slogging through combat, burning through potions. There is zero balance here. I can't remember playing an rpg with worse encounter balance and for me, it destroys any fun the game have to offer. Absolutely terrible design that honestly, feels like it wasn't properly tested. Also, keep in mind that this is when exploring, having the best gear available and no rushing. It just does not feel right
Fun game! At least it's cheap, though: A few quips: 1. When you walk diagonally, your character will display in front of walls and other objects. How you miss something like that in development is beyond me, or don't care, and is weird. Also, you will notice this when some random objects/background will show up "in front of" your character, when they should be behind. Finally, when walking diagonally your character has a "rubber band" effect, or, you press the controls, and, then, after a pause, they finally move. 2. No ability to "hide" the useless mouse pointer that shows up on screen and is locked inside the game window. (Only option is to move your mouse to the left or right edge and "hide" it in the black space. 3. During the first random encounter battles in outside world, enemies hit for 1/6+ of your health, and some of the first enemies will poison you. Poison stays after battle. So... you're stuck (for at least the first 5 character levels), going into 1 battle, rushing back to main village, and healing in "Old Man's" house for a free rest (before you die after a few ticks to 10% poison HP hits every few steps). (At first, it's a waste to use "Cure" to heal poison, as, right after you get poisoned and heal, the enemies can use it again.) 4. The items you can purchase in the game have weird gold values versus benefit. For example, 2 items (which have the same cost), one will give you a total of +20 stats all around, while another will only give you +10 stats all around... haven't seen that in an RPG before. This game gets about 3/5.
