This Could Become a Great Game!! If Done Right Just looked at the long-term roadmap and honestly, the game has a really solid foundation. I really like that the devs are being practical here. In modern strategy games, it's way better to focus on the depth of core mechanics instead of blindly chasing nostalgic features that just bloat the game: Strategy vs. RNG: The best part of any strategy game is outsmarting your opponent with actual tactics. Right now, the Arena and random maps can feel a bit too RNG-heavy. Winning doesn't feel rewarding enough, and losing just feels frustrating. More Control for Players: Randomness is fine, but it shouldn't just be about luck. Whether it's fixing the draft pool algorithms or adding a mode with more hero-drafting depth down the road, matches should be decided by strategy, not just the luck of the draw. More Heroes Please: I really hope the team keeps pushing out new heroes, talents, or subclasses regularly. This is huge for replayability and keeping the game fresh with new builds to test. Water Maps & Naval Combat (Lowest Priority): Look at Age of Empires IV—naval combat usually just becomes its own separate thing that's disconnected from the main game. It's a nightmare to balance and completely ruins the pacing. Instead of wasting resources on half-baked water mechanics, just focus on refining the 6 land factions. War machines are the same—definitely not a priority right now. At the end of the day, a great game needs to follow the golden rule: "Easy to learn, hard to master." If the core gameplay stays solid and the tedious stuff (like the old-school hero chaining) is made more user-friendly, new blood will actually want to stick around. Once the foundation is set and the player base grows, people will happily buy high-quality paid DLCs. That’s how you make good money and keep the game running for the long haul—a total win-win. The update pace and how the devs actually listen to feedback is awesome. The weekly tweaks show they really care. This has all the makings of a masterpiece. Keep it up, team! Can't wait for the next updates!
