Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 25 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The hive is angry. They have claimed this planet. Today, today, today, they whisper to their brothers, to their sisters. The swarm shivers in anticipation. They click, they chitter, they burst. Today, today, today. They move as a river, a steady stream, towards the camp of the walking machines. In unison, they chant: we kill, we kill, we kill.
Will you stop them?

Managing your settlement is crucial in Here Comes The Swarm. Gather enough resources for upgrades and expansion while keeping your population fed and happy. Make sure your defenses are ready when the swarm comes.

Build the army you want, and train your units to ready them for the hive's strongest enemies. Strength comes in numbers for the swarm, and their onslaught will be unrelenting. Get ready to find thousands of fiends trying to breach your walls.

Choose between various deities and their divine powers to help you on your journey. Their blessings may very well be the difference between survival and defeat. Will you focus on attack, defense, or something completely different?

Find Arcane essences on your skirmishes to upgrade your Arcanum, unlocking new, powerful nodes that will change the game. Choose between these new boons to further tailor the game to your own preference.

Enter the expedition map for a whole new adventure. No play session will be the same as you encounter new blessings and empowered enemies. With every new step, your adventure will be further shaped by your decisions.

Don't let time be your enemy; make tactical decisions by pausing the game during critical moments. You can plan the building of your base, assign army movement, or use it to make yourself a hot drink: you deserve it.

A user friendly version of They Are Billions. I'm glad they give the player map and skill level options. I'm so sick of devs thinking hard=good and not giving players options that suit their play style and comfort level. This game gives you the skill and map options and yes, the ability to pause and micromanage things instead of frantically scrolling around trying to click on everything as fast as possible. Life happens and a pause button should be in ALL non-multiplayer games - duh. Good game.
While I understand that the game is still in early access and active development, right now playing it induces more annoyment than fun. I've played many similar games (From Glory to Goo, TAB, Diplomacy is not an Option, etc.) with similar gameplay loop (explore-expand-defend) so I have something to compare HCTS with.
The things that I like:
[olist] [*]Nice and clear graphics, units, buildings, terrain and POI's are quite distinguishable. [*]Unit control is responsive on Starcraft-like level, however lacks some features (more on that later) [*]It is very nice to have expeditions mode, would like to see more improvements and meta-progression on it since I think it is the most replayable and suitable mode for this genre. [*]Customizable camera control, can choose either WASD or middle mouse button (personally not a big thing to me, I am used to both, but for some, surprisingly, mouse control can be a big issue) [*]Enemies' design is decent. [/olist]
Things I don't like and which can be improved:
[olist] [*]Camera control cannot be set to specific hotkey or mouse button (for example I want to be able move the camera with alt or mouse side buttons) [*]A huge thing and basically most annoying thing: no ghost buildings/markers for the buildings that are destroyed. If you had a huge swarm which destroyed most of your defense - you have to rebuild everything manually. The game is already microcontrol intensive and a lot of things are happening at once so sometimes you can forget, for example, to rebuild a forest cutting building which in turn can lower your resource income and you don't even notice this. We already have 'repair all' button and 'rebuild all' button would really be a huge upgrade and QoL. [*]The pacing feels very rushed. I played on normal and the first swarm comes in 10 minutes. This timing feels fine, but each subsequent swarm comes faster (in like 5 minutes intervals). Combining this with a fact that sometimes there spawns a worm on any place on the map which also has a timer to kill and you have to fight through other enemies' outposts to get to it, it puts a lot of stress on the player trying to achieve different things at once. Of course, there is an active pause, but it feels like you need to activate it constantly to be able to do everything. [*]The occassional small attacks at your base (not swarm but rather harassment units) could be manageable if not for the 2 previous things but because of them these attacks feel very annoying and frequent. I tried to manage it with units on patrol, but eventually the harassment force grew in size so I had to split my main force to reinforce the patrol units, which also feels very microintensive and not rewarding since your main force is constantly being drained. [*]The overall feeling for the economy is... I don't know, quite imbalanced? I saw some players point this out too but for personally for me it feels like you have to do A LOT to keep pace with swarm (also coming from the point 3). [/olist] I've quite enjoyed the demo before the release, but right now even with additional content and improvements I still cannot reccomend the game yet . Overall, with some improvements, QoL and balance changes I believe this game can really shine. It does have its own identity (a little bit bleak at the moment) and I think could become a staple title in the genre.

Being a "veteran" on Strategy games like Starcraft and C&C, it pleases me that finally there is another Strategy games that is decent in graphics, in gameplay, and in varieties. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed the Endless mode and have survived until at least 29-30 rounds of attacks. Depending on the difficulty level, the game pace and the enemies difficulties can be very challenging especially at the start, where one has to start from scratch in the middle of the map. Micromanagement is essential and perhaps, even "Town Planning" itself! As the developer stated, this is "Early Access Game", so I don't have much complaint about it, knowing that they may add more features in the future.
It's basically They Are Billions, but with a fantasy aesthetic instead of Steampunk, Warcraft 3 style graphics, and a couple of different gameplay features (you can level up various powers), and on-map creeps are a bit less likely to wander into your settlement unprovoked. If you like TAB and want more, this game will scratch a very similar itch. If you didn't like TAB, or you've had your fill of that style of gameplay, there probably isn't enough innovation on the original formula to make this game worth your time.
Пока безумно интересно. Я ещё разбираюсь что к чему.
Besides more varied roguelike upgrades, it doesn't seem to do anything games like Age of Darkness doesn't in terms of actual gameplay quality with new innovative mechanics or features. No formations on units is a big deal breaker for those that like tactical control over your armies, very privative at the moment. If you like micromanaging each unit individually and constantly compensating for poor self-unaliving ai, then go for it. Upgrade effects are distracting as disproportionately flashy in ways that don't make your units look better; archer units when upgraded give their bows an intense fuzzy aura that makes the units looks like they are wielding pom-poms, knight when upgrade give them an opaque red aura that basically covers the whole model so they just look like red blobs. I don't know why they couldn't just make their weapons get more impressive skin or even just tone down the intensity. It is probably a minor thing for other people but I just think it looks stupid, sorry. Could get more features in the future that make it worth playing over any other game of the same type, but its just copy pasting the actual gameplay in a less advanced way, while only adding a potentially interesting upgrade tree, which unfortunately would have to grind through the very boring early game many time over and over again to advance through.
demo was ok but when i played the main it crashed on me so refunded for now i really dont like games that freeze my system to the point of having to turn it off at power as nothing else worked
I play all of the They Are Billions clones. I think this is the most balanced difficulty wise out of They Are Billions and Age of Darkness. It has good QoL features and building features in comparison. You can turn gates diagonal for example. One of my favorite features is the Deity system. When you setup a match you choose a diety, there is one thats defensive focused, offensive focused, and utility focused. These give you unique buildings and bonuses to fit your style. Then you get to fill out this talent tree like thing with nodes to customize your match. Like I love the one where the arbalists get a ricochet shot that hits 3 enemies or your knights have lifesteal and flaming swords. It lacks polish due to being an Early Access Game. But I think a few patches and it will be amazing. I think its worth the money in its current state and will play this over Age of Darkness since they seem to have abandoned it like TAB did.
It's a confused mix between a defense game and a micro hell RTS. Imagine They Are Billions meets Frostpunk. Resource management is a nightmare and poorly balance and explained. Waves come way too fast to both setup a defense and offense at the same time. Every building must have a road attached, that requires some strategic planning for your random starting location but you don't have time to plan since the first wave is already coming. Finally get a reasonable defense setup but the base is too small and resources are starved and oh another wave. Can't expand anymore because half your roads prevent efficient building and defensive structures, oh another wave, you're dead. For 20$ this is not a good game.
Ein gutes Spiel mit noch feinen Mechanikfehlern. Idee und Story: Top Spielstil: Einzigartig mit vielen Möglichkeiten Wegfindung der Einheiten: Sehr verbesserungsfähig.
