大変モフモフでした
Herdling is a distinctive adventure game developed by Okomotive and published by Panic. Rather than building its identity around combat, complicated progression systems, or dialogue-heavy storytelling, the game focuses on a journey shared between a lone traveler and a herd of unusual creatures known as Calicorns. The objective is to guide these animals through a damaged world and toward distant mountains, but the simplicity of that premise hides an experience centered on responsibility, companionship, environmental storytelling, and the emotional attachment that develops naturally during a long expedition. The Calicorns are the heart of both the gameplay and narrative. Players are responsible for directing the herd, keeping the creatures together, and safely leading them through environments filled with obstacles and potential dangers. Herding becomes more than a movement mechanic because the animals gradually feel like companions whose safety matters. Their behavior gives the journey an organic quality, since controlling an entire group is intentionally different from directly controlling a traditional protagonist. Learning how to position and move the herd efficiently becomes an important part of mastering the game. The adventure becomes increasingly engaging as the journey moves through different environments. Players travel across mountainous landscapes, forests, snowy regions, forgotten valleys, and remnants of a civilization that appears to have suffered some kind of collapse. These surroundings provide visual variety while communicating much of the story without relying on lengthy explanations. Herdling trusts players to observe their surroundings and form their own interpretation of what happened to this world. That restraint creates mystery and gives seemingly ordinary environmental details greater significance. Environmental puzzles and hazards provide additional structure throughout the expedition. These challenges generally complement the relaxed pacing instead of turning the game into an elaborate puzzle adventure. Players must determine how to navigate difficult areas while considering the position and safety of the Calicorns. The puzzles are accessible enough to preserve momentum, although players searching for particularly complicated challenges may find them relatively light. Their primary purpose is to make the journey interactive while reinforcing the responsibility of leading a vulnerable group through unfamiliar territory. The faster stampede sequences provide an effective contrast to the quieter portions of the adventure. After carefully guiding the Calicorns through narrow or dangerous areas, allowing the herd to charge across open terrain creates an exhilarating sense of freedom. These sequences showcase the scale and energy of the animals while preventing the overall experience from becoming too slow. They also make movement itself rewarding, turning traversal into something that can alternate between thoughtful guidance and exciting bursts of momentum. Herdling's wordless storytelling is one of its strongest characteristics. Okomotive avoids overwhelming the player with dialogue and exposition, allowing actions, environments, animation, sound, and music to carry much of the emotional narrative. The relationship between the traveler and the Calicorns becomes meaningful precisely because the game does not constantly explain it. Spending time protecting and traveling alongside these creatures gradually creates attachment. A dangerous situation feels important because companions are potentially threatened, while reaching another peaceful landscape provides a genuine feeling of relief. Visually, Herdling benefits enormously from its stylized presentation. The environments emphasize dramatic scenery, enormous mountains, changing weather, open wilderness, and the contrast between natural beauty and the remnants of a fallen world. Instead of pursuing pure realism, the artistic direction concentrates on atmosphere and memorable compositions. Seeing the Calicorn herd moving together across a vast landscape can be particularly impressive because the animals become visually integrated into the scenery rather than appearing like ordinary followers attached to the protagonist. The game also succeeds at creating a strong feeling of progression without relying on traditional upgrades or extensive statistics. Progress is largely geographical and emotional. Moving farther from the starting point, encountering new environments, overcoming increasingly dangerous terrain, and becoming more comfortable managing the herd all contribute to the feeling that a meaningful expedition is unfolding. The mystery associated with reaching the summit provides additional motivation, but the journey and relationships developed along the way remain more important than simply arriving at the destination. There are aspects of Herdling that will not appeal equally to every player. Its deliberate pacing and relatively straightforward mechanics could feel limited to anyone expecting complex action, extensive customization, deep combat, or numerous branching decisions. Herding multiple creatures can also occasionally feel less precise than controlling a single character, particularly when navigating confined spaces. However, some degree of unpredictability works within the concept because the Calicorns are presented as living animals rather than perfectly obedient objects. The game's restrained mechanical design ultimately supports its emotional priorities. Herdling is therefore best approached as an atmospheric journey rather than a mechanically dense adventure. Okomotive demonstrates that meaningful interaction can come from caring for companions instead of defeating enemies. The game takes the ordinary concept of moving from one location to another and gives that movement emotional importance by making the player responsible for an entire herd. Every obstacle becomes something that must be considered not only from the protagonist's perspective but also from the standpoint of the creatures following behind. As a complete experience, Herdling stands out through its unusual premise, beautiful environments, expressive creatures, understated narrative, and thoughtful combination of peaceful exploration and occasional urgency. Okomotive's experience with atmospheric journeys is evident throughout the game, while publisher Panic provides a fitting home for such an unconventional project. It may be too mechanically restrained for players seeking constant action, but those who appreciate environmental narratives and emotionally driven adventures should find considerable value here. Herdling understands that companionship does not always require dialogue and that protecting something throughout a difficult journey can create attachment through gameplay alone. Its greatest achievement is making the herd feel less like an objective that needs to be transported and more like a collection of companions worth bringing safely to the end of the road. Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a simple but beautiful experience, i really enjoyed my time with it. Definitely worth playing if you're looking for something relaxing and atmospheric The controls felt weird at first, but once I got used to them they felt much better
Beautiful and relaxing game, 3-4h, and beautifully made.
Relaxing, chill. nice music, way too cute, so worth your time. Enjoy I for sure will play it one day again, and again, and again...
ok herdling is from the ppl who made FAR, n u can tell, its got that "no dialogue, bu still mazing" thing going ur this silent kid n u find these buffalo lookin creatures called calicorns, one has literal trash stuck on its face n u free it n thats ur first buddy. u name them n everything which is a mistake bc u will get attached whole game is just herding these guys thru an abandoned city n up into the mountains using like a stick w flowers on it lol, sounds simple n it kinda is but its satisfying getting the herd to actually listen n move together fair warning tho, u can lose calicorns along the way. cliffs, ice, these creepy owl birds that hunt them, starvation, and once ur attached to em (which u will be bc u named them) losing one actually stings a lil visuals are gorgeous, city looks all grey n dead but once u get out into nature it opens up n gets real pretty, soundtrack's also really good its short, like a one sitting kinda game, very linear so dont expect replay value, but for the few hours it lasts its a solid emotional lil journey recommended if u liked journey or FAR n want another "no words just feelings" type game
semplicemente bellissimo <3
