First off, be prepared for a slow pace. Second off, do not mess with my yak-owl-creature children. The scenery was actually kind of hit or miss for me, but I was coming off some detailed high-budget games (i.e. Avowed), so it's not a fair comparison. The premise was charming, the critters were charming, and there were some thoughtful details that I shan't spoil--just look closely at the world around you.

I enjoyed this game so much, and grew very fond of my sweet calicorns. It's such a cute little detail with their different personalities, the ball-fetching and decorations. Will definitely play again! And so beautiful, and stunning music <3
While beautiful, Herdling never manages to build repertoire of challenges, puzzles, or obstacles greater than wrestling with drunken controls; not of the Calicorns, but the main character itself. Its 5~ish hour runtime doesn't manage to reach the narrative highlights of Okomotive's previous titles, nor their mechanical depth, despite fundamentally being the same idea of "Go further north". Adding Cute Animals doesn't help the flaws from glaring their ugly head.
