Hellboy Web of Wyrd

The game is really for what it is comic book style inspired game. First thing is I love how the entire games art style is comic booky and it really stands out to me but again it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Second thing the music is real nice. It is a mixture of Noir movies and TV shows from like 70s or 80s with a little bit of rock and metal and blues added to the mix. Third thing is the combat. I can already tell that I fell in love with it. By all means it is nothing ground breaking or anything like that but in my opinion it is good in all the right departments. Its also not a classic action style third person shooter or a beat 'em up game. You have dodges and parries for defense and for attack you have your fists for light and heavy attacks and a gun of your choice and charms so you can really get creative with your setup. Whilst combat can feel clunky at times it does feel reaaaal good when you learn how different enemies attack and master the parry and dodge window and then go for different mixups in your combos. Makes ya feel badass. Fourth and last thingy is story. It is really nice so far where I am in the game. It does have its moments of feeling intrigue and mystery but it makes sense since it is going for that genre. It is by all accounts not a revelational story in a game but it keeps you wanting to know more and understand more plus it is one of the only games where I actually sat down and read all the different log entries and stuff like that. Expect a middle of the way story and I am saying that being maybe a half done with it around there or close to the half. But the dialogue has its haha moments. Having the creator of the Hellboy comics Mike Mignola and the publisher Dark Horse working on the game is really cool cause it makes it feel like Hellboy but the story is its own adventure rather than being canon continuation of the already established story. All in all I would give this game 7.5 or even 8 out of 10 real nice would recommend.

Nudne, powtarzalne i kiepsko wykonane

Have only played up to defeating the Buglady boss, but I can already say that anyone that likes games with these timeless art styles and also thinks Hellboy is a cool will love this, not that there's a lot of options for Hellboy fans. Anyway this is so far the best comic aesthetic in a 3d videogame I have ever seen and played.

Que decir de Hellboy Web of Wyrd?, vengo a hacer la reseña despues de jugarlo 8hs y entendi porque el juego esta siendo tan criticado, para empezar quiero que sepan que si se compra en rebaja (lo cual hice), no te comes tanto el garron y se deja disfrutar. Puntos fuertes: -Estetica (Es el apartado mas destacable del juego, recordandonos a titulos como Wolf Among Us o The Walking Dead por su trabajo en los shaders de iluminacion y sombras, y obvio tambien al gran arte de Mike Mignola) -Humor Negro (Para los que conocemos al personaje realmente y leemos sus historias, sabemos que el humor acido de Hellboy es sutil pero siempre esta presente, y en este juego no es la excepcion) Extras: -El juego se situa en Argentina/Bariloche -Mencion honorifica a las Malvinas 10/10 Puntos malos: -LA CAMARAAAAAAAAA (Hablando enserio, se puede configurar en el panel de pantalla, pero a quien carajo se le ocurrio pegarle la camara a la nuca) -El juego se vuelve repetitivo a tal punto de solo clickear/machacar el boton de golpe, lo que lo vuelve tedioso y aburrido) -Hellboy no sabe recargar en movimiento xD -Y sabemos que Hellboy no se destaca por una super movilidad pero en este juego es un tanque dios mio, es muy lento -Es un Roguelike sin mapa xD (x2) Para finalizar: Creo que Hellboy en si, su personaje, su mundo, esta ligado a cosas como estas; quiero decir, no es el tipico superheroe de calzoncillos por fuera y capa, por lo que... ¿Que te hace pensar que su juego debe de ser comodo?, Hellboy cambio el mundo de las historietas y el comic llevandolo de la ciencia a lo sobrenatural, por lo que, creo yo que esta desicion de situarlo en un roguelike en lugar de un tipico juego de accion y aventura no esta mal en su planteamiento, mas si en su ejecucion.
