Hell is Other Demons is a fantastic action platformer shooter with insane art style and even insaner soundtrack.
The story is there for those who care. You are a demon called "The Rebel" trying to overthrow another demon army that has taken over hell. It's 2 or 3 scenes, so whatevs. The real ♥♥♥♥ is the gameplay. The game has 2 main modes: First is Story. Story mode is a bit more straightforward, select the level and play it to unlock more levels, kill bosses, and go forward till last boss. Ez Pez. You can choose a path, but you can always go back. Second is Arcade. Now Arcade mode is where things get interesting, it's a roguelike mode where you will really learn how to play this game and understand its mechanics. Being fair, it's not super complex, but it works well and, most importantly, is mad fun. Gameplay is fast, fluid, and relentless! You blink you die. The game is colorful, visually impeccable, and gives you all the necessary tools to survive long enough till you can't see yourself on the screen anymore due to the number of enemies. Some mechanics are very interesting and even similar to other games, like in Downwell, where you can stomp enemies in the air (and even get multipliers depending on perks), or Devil Daggers with stop shooting to get gems, hehe. The art style is pretty slick, the designs are devilish, and the bosses are a bit too easy but visually stunning. The soundtrack is fast, heavy, and fits perfectly with the carnage, especially Death Pamphlet, which is in my games playlist now 3:> It was great 😈
