Hell is Other Demons

This is like one of those games you get out of a "random free game" thing on something like Humble Bundle, like I don't even remember how I found it or why I bought it, but that being said, it's alright. The gameplay is pretty fun and it looks great, but it's just so...sparse. It's more akin to a mobile game with its small scope and arcade-like gameplay, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that the game doesn't do much with it, it has nothing to make it stand out. It's a good game, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for some arcadey filler fun, but it's not much more than that.

I didn't really enjoy this.

muy buen juego, lastima el escaso contenido, en unas 3 o 4 horas de juego lo terminas, el gameplay es 10 , historia un 7. lo bueno es que tiene otros modos bastantes divertidos he incluso competitivos.

a fun shooter game set in hell with a nice synthwave soundtrack and plenty of content. now time to get critical. it says on the storepage that this game is a roguelike, which it isnt really. its kinda more like cult of the lamb where theres no permadeath but there are roguelike elements. doesnt make the game bad but its prb false advertising and im sure it has mislead at least one person. if you like roguelikes you will still probably like this game tho. also you will absolutely want to play this with a controller. keyboard controls are wierd. (oh yeah also if ur on linux, force proton or the character will keep automatically firing their weapon) other than that theres some cool bosses and upgrades, i like the arcade modes, the soundtrack is awesome and im kinda glad it isnt a roguelike. i love roguelikes but there sure are a lot of them out there.

[B]What I Liked[/B] + I really enjoyed the fast-paced action. You start a level on a platform and then the action begins. Enemies start appearing and they can be relentless! Not only do some enemies chase nonstop, but then there are projectiles that home in on you, and not to mention the levels themselves can become hazardous! It [b]was[/b] frustrating sometimes, sure, but once I got into the groove it was pretty awesome hopping around, dashing away, bouncing off enemies heads. + The striking color palette was damn cool, and the electronic soundtrack was a great compliment to the overall aesthetic of the game. [What I Didn't Like[/B] - Really frustrating moments when enemies randomly spawn [b]ON[/b] your character, causing damage. Sometimes it could ruin a fun, tense run when an enemy just decides to rock your ♥♥♥♥ without warning. - The only other problem, and this one might be bigger is that there wasn't a [b]TON[/b] of unlocks. There was a decent amount, but some of them were lame...like +1 Health or +3 Health, being able to dash further, enemies exploding, faster shooting/better aim. Generic feeling, honestly. Nothing really unique that stood out to me. Same thing with the weapons. The ultimate attacks were cool, though. [B]Recommend or Nah?[/B] I had a bunch of fun during my time with this game. It offers enough frantic action that combines jumping, and dodging well with enemies that are nonstop. The visuals are a plus, and the soundtrack will make you bop your head. The offerings aren't great in terms of skill, weapon, and item variety. I wasn't blow away by anything. All that being said, this is a pretty easy recommendation because the game offers enough challenge without being brutal and I appreciated that balance. [B]Rating: Solid- ⭐⭐⭐/5[/B]
